They did a bad job last summer, they lost Jagr and JVR and only signed Fedotenko to replace them. Add to that Briere not being there to start the year and you have a very offensively challenged team. I expect a trade very soon from the Flyers

Flyer personnel who were going to win a Cup for Philadelphia helped win one for Los Angeles. Imagine that!

Their depth scoring after that is terribad though. If Nash doesn't live up to their billing they won't have the offense to keep up with the Pens and Bruins.

I don't know... Callahan and Stepan have put together pretty good cases for themselves. Having Del Zotto, Girardi, and McDonagh means they should have decent puck movement from at least two pairings. The "problem" I see is how many minutes their bottom 6 can handle. They don't even have to chip in much in the way of offense, as long as they can play enough reliable minutes to avoid running that top line into the ground with 30 minute nights of catch-up hockey all year. Maybe not as big of a concern in a shortened season, but they still have to keep up with whomever they face come the post season.

Is it just me or do the Leafs get a 5 on 3 almost every game? Kadri sure draws a lot of penalties.

Most of the pens are looking like a bunch of floating beach balls tonight.

Exaggeration for comical relief

Yea but when they beat teams like Pittsburgh we have to deal with comments about how great their team is.

Remember that episode of Southpark when Cartman gets that whole amusement park to himself and by the end of the show he loses everything and feels worse than if he never got the amusement park to begin with?

Ya, hope can be a cruel mistress.
