Oh, and do yourselves a favour and research Ribeiro's explosion tonight, lol. Funny stuff. Don't miss that guy at all. Wait, this should all be in the former Habs thread...

To be honest, a penalty should have been called on whoever his opposing center was.

To be honest, Ribeiro should keep his punk mouth shut. But which time are you talking about, because he got it in the face at least twice, not just the time he threw the tantrum, lol!

The pretty good cut he got.

I mean -- all stemmed from the failure of the referee to call a penalty for that.

Oilers can't play D, but they sure can score. And man they're fun to watch. Hello Taylor Hall.
Wouldn't Luongo void ANY deal who would not bring him in the Eastern Conference?
Would be interesting to see him go the Islanders for Visnovski... back where his career began.

I hate that guy. Glad he got kicked out.

But they had just scored (Ribeiro with an assist, btw) to make it a 2 goal game with over 1 minute left to play when Ribeiro decided to throw a 12 minutes worth of penalties tantrum, going in and out of the box yelling at the refs. lol?

I know, his tantrum was dumb.
But it was basically the failure of the ref to call a penalty, like, an hour earlier that brought this.

The ref made a mistake. But I concur -- Ribs looked like an idiot there.

Just saw a post in the Oilers GDT saying that the Oilers D have had a combined hit total of 1 after 2 periods. Makes me appreciate Emelin that much more.

My my ...

We all know Luongo won't end up here, right ? right ? right ???

Speculate Habnadians, I just want your perspective and for the sake of stirring '*****'

Did he specifically say that the mystery team needs to deal with an UNSIGNED player first? If not, then I think the team is Philadelphia and the player they need to deal with is Bryz.

Yeah, I know. And he made a big production then, too. Probably had something to do with his not getting the call his way the second time, in fact.

No, they have Kari Lehtonen.

Maybe Colorado and O'Reilly, but even that seems ridiculous.

Lehtonen has got better each year with the Stars. No way they trade their best offensive player for a backup goalie.

can't imagine Colorado giving up assets for a high-priced goalie just 1 year after giving up a small ransom for Varlamov...

don't see Dallas making the move either, unless they have a separate deal to move Lethonen in the works as well...

at best, perhaps Colorado/Dallas are part of some three-way deal, or the team VAN has a deal with is waiting to make sure one of ROR/Benn/Subban are officially signed (and thus unavailable) before adding Lou...

that probably makes the most sense.

How can they deal with Bryz? I mean, other than trading him...

He can't be bought out at this point; window is closed.

And some people are sad this joke of a player is gone? Good riddance, I don't like Gainey but was happy to see this turd flushed.

Who do I drop in my hockey pool? Huberdeau or Turris? One's gotta go and I'm thinking of keeping Turris.

Maybe the deal happens in the summer after Philly buys him out? Who knows... :dunno:

If that's the case (to be honest, I'd be surprised...), Mike Gillis is an idiot to cause such agitation at this point of the season.
