I also wonder abut the Sens Plex where the development camp is held & they practise there a great deal given it's so close to the arena in Kanata. I assume if they build a new arena they will also build a practise facility near by. Both places are going to need a big piece of property.

I don't think Garrioch meant that they've just added Salter. My read was that Salter has always been a part of the bid, but his involvement is just now being revealed.

"Postmedia has learned part of their bid includes participation by Toronto billionaire Jamie Salter."

Compare that with how Garrioch describes Sparks, and his last minute attempts to find more investors.

That would be a bit more reassuring for us that want to see this resolved soon. If the bidders were still seeking additional partners, it would mean not that we have a ways to go, but also that the team will sell over its real value due to scarcity pressure. Let's wrap this up!

That would make a ton of sense as wouldn't that be right where the East/West LRT and North/South interact. Kind of funny that our most connected station has basically nothing around it except that old strip mall with Beyond the Pale and Tom Brown arena. Having a big event centre there would kind of make sense based on the LRT traffic it should theoretically be able to handle.
