Wait wut?Speaking of deals, did the Vols really just get a top qb recruit for the low (indirect) price of $8 million?

Wait.. his name is "I'm a leava" ...
Dont be surprised if he transfers
Crazy to think teams can now openly do what essentially got SMU the death penalty in the 80's.
The key word in that is lying. It's the same thing that got Petrino fired at Arkansas. There aren't too many jobs where you can get caught red handed lying to your boss and keep your job. Especially with that kind of pay.Bruce Pearl would still be the Vols coach if he hadn't lied about having a Sophomore over to his house for a BBQ. The pivot really is pretty crazy.

I don't suspect we will see much out of the NCAA from here on, at least not in the regard. They lost in the courts so any push from them and schools will just leave and restart a new sanctioning body, if they don't anyways.Right, and I don't disagree that you shouldn't lie, but just keep in mind what Pearl was lying about. They wouldn't even ask about that now... at least I would hope not. Wouldn't it be funny if a rule like that is still in place but you can pay a kid $8m?
Wisconsin's point guard had his ankle literally go 90 degrees sideways with 3 minutes remaining in the first half. He came out with a boot on for the second half. The #2 PG has a long term COVID issue and isn't playing. They had to use their SG as their third choice PG because they didn't want to put in a freshman who had played about 3 minutes all season. The Badgers played better than Dayton did in the same situation. The Badgers lost by 5 IIRC. I think your are over stating it a bit. It is a lot easier to be prepared for disaster when you have more than 15 minutes to plan.I don't disagree completely with you- but man, it is just so hard to win in the NCAAT. Plenty of other high seeds besides SEC teams also went down. Heck, the two best teams- Arizona and Gonzaga- were both pretty fortunate to survive the weekend. Wisconsin completely crapped the bed, etc, etc, etc.
It is just HARD to win in the tournament
Glad for the SEC but damn feel bad for the Zags they deserve one...Hogs take out Gonzaga!

I think there are occasionally team like this that nobody realized how good they are because they play in a low major conference and never get a chance to show their stuff. It would also be so good for the sport if they won it allWow - St Peters! And the clock refuses to strike midnight.

They play each other in the semis thank goodness.May we be spared a NC/Duke final, please.
