I agree but the NFL considers the Super Bowl it’s glitter and Hollywood event and wants it in a warm environment. They did the NY thing in the cold once after 9-11 but it is not happening again. Nissan stadium has exactly the same design as the one in Tampa, one has hosted multiple SB’s and the other will not. I think Goodell was impressed with the Draft here and would put Nashville in the regular SB 5 year rotation with a domed stadium.
Minneapolis had two SBs in their domed stadiums, 1991 in the Metrodome, which was a poorly constructed stadium and in 2018 in US Bank Stadium, but that is a cold weather city.
Detroit (Pontiac) had one SB. I would not describe either city as glittery.
I don't think there is a 5 year rotation. At the start, it was LA, Miami and NO. It took 8 years to get to Houston and 8 more for Pontiac and an additional 2 years (18 total) to play in Tampa.
In the last 16 years, Miami has 3 SBs, 2007, 2010 and 2020; Tampa 2009 & 2021; Glendale AZ in 2008 & 2015; Texas (Arlington) in 2011 and Houston in 2017; Indianapolis in 2012; New Orleans in 2013; NYC (NJ) 2014; California (Santa Clara) in 2016 and Inglewood (LA) in 2022; Minneapolis in 2018; and Atlanta in 2019.
That is 12 different cities in the last 16 years. The 2023 SB is back in Glendale, 2024 is in Las Vegas; with 2025 in New Orleans, 12 years since their last one.
