Well the Tennessee/Michigan game time unfortunately conflicts with the Preds game on Saturday. Too bad we don't have a 7pm puck drop! Going to have to sell some tickets I guess.

That's too bad. NCAA tix shouldn't be hard to unload, though.

;-)

VFL but Preds are first for me these days. Never would have guessed it in 1997.

I don't do brackets but one of mine would have been busted. Sorry, KY.

And down goes a 1 seed.

I hate that it was Carolina that pulled it off.

Reminds me a lot of the years UK was an 8 seed and beat 1 seeded Witchita.

TN was always going to lose on a night when they couldn’t shoot and the other team just scored a few more than them. This was that game. I know that might sound a little funny but f you’ve watched ut this year, and understand how good they are defensively, then it would make sense.

SEC looking pretty horrible right now though. This kind of puts a huge damper on any talk about Texas A&M deserving to be in over Michigan, the committee looks like a bunch of geniuses at this point.

Oh and late in that ut/Michigan game the Titans traded a 2023 6th for Robert Woods.

Racers will never have a better opportunity to make the Sweet 16.... and so will almost certainly lose :(

Hate to break up your basketball party...

Titans had quite a day today! Retained some key players, signed and traded for others. Still get to add a couple more pieces in the draft. Looking good right now if Henry and Tannehill hold up through the season.

Was getting a little worried about the plan for WR2, but this was a great move. A 6th for what seems like a great fit.

I think it's just going to come down to how quickly he can be at 100% after the ACL. I'm guessing it will be midseason but given he's such a good route runner that doesn't rely on a ton of speed maybe it won't matter quite as much.

Well, now I don't have to worry about basketball til next March. Might check into the women's tourney til UT's ousted from it, too.

Nashville SC lost tonight. Thank goodness for the Preds!

I see Dayton is playing at Vandy because their arena is hosting the state of Ohio HS basketball championships.

The Flyers are without point guard Malachi Smith, Scoochie's younger brother, and it shows. He badly twisted his ankle in the Richmond game (A10 semi).

Vandy has Scotty Pippen Jr and Rodney Chatman, who used to play for Dayton. He has to be on his 5th or 6th year.

Edit: Vandy 70 - 68 in OT.

Hopefully my Hogs keep it alive. Guess there is Auburn too still.

Honestly not surprised by most of them. Thought Kentucky was overrated and Tennessee always chokes.
And now your Hogs are all that's left. SEC being exposed as shitty kind of explains why Kentucky(and Auburn, and Tennessee) all looked so good at one point. Kentucky's only really impressive non SEC win was at Kansas and I'm thinking they are a paper tiger too...

Not directed at you, but I hate when people do this. The SEC was a good conference regardless of what happened in the NCAAT. You just can't completely judge anything by the NCAAT performance. In a one and done setting, anything can happen. If you started the tournament completely over next weekend, you could easily see different results.

Kentucky/Auburn/Tennessee and even Alabama were all good teams. Bottom line is crap happens in the NCAAT- it is incredibly hard to win in it

The SEC was good, but not so good that the top teams were really as good as they appeared is my point.

When your top 3 teams (and 5 of your top 6 teams) all lose to double digit seeds, that's more than just happenstance. And part of this is the nature of 18 game conference schedules. You end up not playing anybody except other conference teams from the first of January onward. Kentucky's one fluke dominant win at Kansas is what propelled them up the rankings. Prior to that they were languishing around 20 and deservedly so. The SEC just wasnt as good as they appeared to be, and that's hard to dispute based in the performance if its teams.

Edited to add.. by comparison look at the ACC(Which I LOATHE with a passion)... their teams were clearly well prepared for the tourney. And I am gonna puke blood if Duke or NC wins it all....

I don't disagree completely with you- but man, it is just so hard to win in the NCAAT. Plenty of other high seeds besides SEC teams also went down. Heck, the two best teams- Arizona and Gonzaga- were both pretty fortunate to survive the weekend. Wisconsin completely crapped the bed, etc, etc, etc.

It is just HARD to win in the tournament

Speaking of deals, did the Vols really just get a top qb recruit for the low (indirect) price of $8 million?
