Will fix everything
We let our pup gabby get some rest today, :(

We had her for just under 8 years, rescue from a bad situation where she was in a kennel almost 20+ hours a day. She had a spoiled life and was stubborn until the last.

Sorry for your loss. I'm happy to know that she had a good life for the past 8 years, though. Kudos.

It stinks one way or another pretty much everywhere. France supposedly has (had?) the most sensible system.

Can't remember if I've dropped this meme on you guys yet. Definitely elements of truth there.

A friend of mine was having heart palpitations last week, went to the hospital had tests, saw the doc got some meds and his bill was a bit under 1500 baht so about $42. It would have been about $15 if he was Thai. Western medicine is crazy, which is why you see so many medical tourists here

The 180ft fall into 40F water means it's highly doubtful anyone survived. I just can't imagine how this happened, WTF was that captain doing
That first video I posted shows the barge losing power twice and smoke starting to rise out of the barge before it hit the bridge. Something bad was happening on that barge before it collided with the bridge.

My understanding is that harbor pilots who have detailed knowledge of the local port are at the helm to guide oceangoing vessels to and from the harbor. They're employed specifically to prevent this sort of occurrence, making it all the more puzzling.

Anyone unlucky enough to be on that bridge is gone. Condolences to all.

Apparently the crew of the ship were able to contact someone in enough time to get traffic on the bridge shut down before the accident (which appears to have been caused by power failure). That action prevented the disaster from being even more awful and saved many lives.

From CNBC ... "At the time of the collision, the vessel had two pilots from the Port of Baltimore on board."

My wife and I couldn't make it 20 minutes into the 'The Truth vs Alex Jones' before tapping out. It hits way too close to home. My eyes are still a bit swollen, and we turned it off 10 minutes ago. Heart wrenching accounts by the parents of Sand Hook. I still remember where I was when the news broke on that tragedy.

Im going to hug my little guy before bed tonight. I was already all up in my feelings early in the night doing bedtime with him. So many precious little moments passing by so quickly. The first four years of fatherhood has been a trip!
