George Kirby with 9 shutout innings and Seattle still lost. Baltimore (and Blue Jays killer Ryan Mountcastle) really did us a solid with that one

He obviously wasn't the sole reason but Jose played a big factor in 2015 and 2016 and after decades of being average, the Jays finally made the playoffs. I was too young for the World Series teams and I had to ensure the Ash teams and even the JP Riccardi teams. Only a few times would they get close to sniffing the playoffs.

I know the spring games were much easier to attend in those days, too.
From that standpoint duplicating last year is the sweet spot for ST attendance. Be in the playoff hunt, play a wild card game every now then, and no big free agent signings. Keep interest up, but not too high.
 
Orelvis with his 4th HR in AAA.

His play is one of the better things that's happened this year.

He has rebounded very nicely after last season and again looks like a very good prospect and power option going forward.

Went to the game today! Amazing effort. Finally the bats woke up. Merrifield needs to be re-signed, completely shocked Varsho did something. The team definitely was sitting fastball all game, and Taillon wasn’t hitting his off speed stuff so it was easy picking. Great day.

MLB is looking into the Franco incident. Would be a lot easier if the Rays were well out of the playoffs. Just suspend him with pay until the investigation is over.

Apparently, he was giving her hush money. If she is indeed 14, I would think he will be suspended for a long time. Furthermore, I doubt he would be well received in the clubhouse. 22 years old and dating a grade 8 student.

Who was the reliever that got banished by MLB? This guy is as good as gone if true. Play pro in Mexico where they don't give a shit about character.
 
What a moron if that is true. Absolute moron, not only ruined his career, he’ll probably never play in MLB again. He tarnished his reputation not only as a player but as a person. And it’s criminal. Good job Franco……… loser

Whenever I hear stories like this I always ask myself, why can’t these guys date people their own age? Like Franco is 22…. Rich, a pro athlete, dude there are women your age or a bit older all around Tampa, like why even risk something stupid like that? It’s dumb founding

This type of behaviour is very common in the DR. So he probably has a major blind spot to it in America or just not thinking. Hopefully the authorities deal with it instead of letting it slide under the radar. It would be a huge blow to the Rays.
 
Trevor Bauer is basically banished from the MLB possibly forever and his issues were not with a minor. Would imagine if true Franco is good as gone, no team wants that PR nightmare... hopefully they allow a proper investigation is the main thing. Find the facts and then hand down punishment.
 
I thought maybe it’s an age of consent thing like when Joao Pedro was dating a 15 year old (consent is 14 in Brazil)… nope definitely illegal in the DR too even if it may be exhibited culturally.
