Cincinnati makes sense, but why on earth is Cleveland claiming multiple expiring contracts?
Reading about the claims today it also talked about with all the injuries to their pitching staff the rookies are near pitch limits as well.

The Jays should send some of their pitching prospects to these trainers. Especially guys like Tiedemann and Barriera who missed time with injuries this year.

From maxing out at 95 and sitting 92 to maxing out at 101 and sitting 96, Ragans underwent a massive transformation in one offseason. The closest qualified starting pitcher gains to Ragans were Nick Pivetta (+2.9 mph) and Sean Manaea (+2.5 mph), so this is a huge leap. He’s been turning heads since spring training with that added velo. Largely, the pitcher credits Tread Athletics, where he trained in the offseason.
“I did a full body assessment with them,” Ragans said. “I videoed all these movements, they saw how my body moves: hips, ankles, (thoracic) spine, all that kind of stuff. They broke it down and gave me all these exercises that would essentially loosen the things that needed to be loosened up and get things moving how they should be moving. My body is just moving better.”

None of these mobility exercises look like pitching. The easiest way to explain it might be “yoga with bands,” but even that doesn’t fully explain the small movements that Ragans does every day.

Read somewhere that the Jays were not happy with Barriera because he came into spring out of shape. I know they say the camera adds 10 pounds but man the kid's looking thicc.

Send him to an Arm Farm during the off-season.

Gotta give AA credit as much as it rankles some to do so.

He's done a great job at extending the sustained success of the club, but I'd argue that Coppolella era catapulted the team and that org just doesn't receive enough flak like the Astros (or even Cards) do for cheating.

Jays have the 5th easiest schedule remaining with only Houston above them of teams who matter to them.

Opponents Winning %:
3. Houston - .457
5. Toronto - .474
16. Texas - .507
23. Seattle - .523
25. Boston - .528

With 4 games left with Texas at home, the playoffs are in their hands.

28 games left for the Jays with 16 at home in the final 22;

3 vs Colorado (away)
3 vs Oakland (away)
3 vs KC (home)
4 vs Texas (home)
3 vs Boston (home)
3 vs NY Yankees (away)
3 vs Tampa Bay (away)
3 vs NY Yankees (home)
3 vs Tampa Bay (home)

Literally nothing should stop the Jays from winning 7-8 games vs Colorado, Oakland and KC. Split from Texas should be the bare minimum but they are reeling so 3 should be the goal. You got to get 4-5 wins vs this Yankees team. Tampa will be hard but you finish at home.

80% of Texas' remaining games are against teams hoping to make the playoffs.
69% of Seattle's remaining games are against teams hoping to make the playoffs.
64% of Boston's remaining games are against teams hoping to make the playoffs.
46% of the Toronto's remaining games are against teams hoping to make the playoffs.
44% of the Houston's remaining games are against teams hoping to make the playoffs.

The Blue Jays Addison Barger returned from elbow inflammation in June and began to see more and more time in right field in mid-July. Since the beginning of August, he’s been playing mostly right field while getting a start somewhere on the infield about once a week. He was evaluated as a 40-grade shortstop defender during the offseason and that still holds, as Barger’s feet and hands are lacking but his arm is a fit basically anywhere on the infield. He’s capable of playing shortstop but isn’t very good, and with Bo Bichette entrenched as the team’s everyday option, it’s much more likely that Barger plays a left-handed role that complements Santiago Espinal and an aging George Springer for the next several years. Barger might already be better than Cavan Biggio is in that role right now and could merit down-the-stretch consideration, but the Jays promoting Mason McCoy and Ernie Clement rather than Barger (or Orelvis Martinez) in light of recent injuries to Bichette and Matt Chapman kind of signals what Toronto thinks of those guys on defense. Because he’s essentially slipping down the defensive spectrum, I’ve slid Barger into the 45 FV tier as more of an integral role player rather than a true everyday guy.

Barger dropped from a 50 FV to 45. I understand his value lowers as he moves from SS, but he was never expected to play there and is probably more of a regular (than Biggio/Espinal) at 3B/RF due to his power and arm combo... Plus the bat has been batting since he returned from his injury and has only gotten hotter each month since.
