That's a clear strike, but might be the worst "frame" job I've ever seen by a catcher tbh. And by that I don't mean he was trying to frame it because he shouldn't have needed to, but the way he went down at it because it was supposed to be high, his glove was an inch from the dirt by the end of it. Completely fooled the ump
Not that egregious. It's a strike, but the way the catcher setup threw the whole thing off. It's like when a catcher sets up entirely inside, then the ball crosses the outside corner of the other side of the plate that the catcher had to reach all the way over for that is called a ball.

Love it! Hopefully it’s a start of something. If he is hitting like this, + his D + his base running, that’s a VERY good player.

Miguel Hiraldo seems to be putting himself back in the prospect conversation with a torrid August. Upped his OPS to .800 to go with 10 humeruns and 15 steals.
Formerly well regarded prospect. Finally showing something in AA where he's age appropriate as a 22-year old. He'll probably end up as a throw-in guy in a trade in the off-season given our infield depth.

Jays best 2022 OPS+ from a qualified hitter was Vladdy at 133. Only Jansen was higher at 142 but with 248 PAs.
