It starts tonight is such bs. It started 4 f***ing months ago. That exact attitude is why this shit team is sitting outside a playoff spot. All goes back to… it’s early….. relax….. lots of season left. That’s a loser’s mentality

It started less than a month ago for Seattle

Seattle is 14-4 this month. Unfortunately our shit team hasn’t done anything close to that and what’s why Seattle is relevant right now. If we go 14-4 in our next 18 we will make it. This will not happen however as we are shit.

I still think Texas is the team to catch, especially since the Jays have a 4-game series left against them

Seattle's schedule is butter soft for the next two weeks and Houston's isn't that much harder the rest of the way. KC and OAK have a ton of games left vs the WC/AL West teams

KC: SEA x3, BOS x3, TOR x3, HOU x6
OAK: SEA x6, TOR x3, HOU x3, TEX x3

Jays can't afford to drop (m)any games against these shitty teams.

Agreed. Looking at the remaining strength of schedule, Jays sched is soft but so is Seattle's and Houston. Texas however has a moderate schedule, are trending in the wrong direction, and have 7 games remaining against the scorching Mariners.

And Seattle didn’t do shit prior to this month? I don’t understand this perspective that they’re somehow relevant and we aren’t because they’re 1.5 up on us lol

Ah, yeah I guess Houston's is easier because SD is below .500. Although, I think they're a lot better than their record and definitely not your typical sub .500 team.

Jays punted away too many divisional games. Time to make them up vs the bottom tier teams

Just means Seattle played well enough all year and have the ability to go 14-4 whereas we do not. So us throwing games back in May because they were “early” is why we won’t make playoffs.

Does anyone know why the hitting coaches weren’t fired months ago AND the hitting strategist *cough*

Because as has been said on here countless times. For the majority of the season we have been top 10 in almost all offensive categories.

Just RISP has been the bane of existence.

Orioles are lucky enough as it is without MLB making up runs for them on video review.

I'd want someone with that hitting profile hitting 2nd personally (i.e., lefty contact hitter who will take pitches/walks and has some power and speed). If the power amps up then he'd also profile well hitting 3rd.
Won't argue with that Not bad for a 2022 3rd rounder to be already killing AA with the power stroke developing. Power was the only real thing lacking in his profile when drafted.

It's his launch angle + swing mechanics. He has top tier exit velos, but he starts out with his hands really high and comes down into his swing so that it's mostly level to the ball. His swing also looks a bit hacky like Jason Heyward's was, like he's chopping a tree with an axe. That was a guy with big time raw power (he was compared to McGriff as a hitting prospect) that played down due to his swing (never hit more than 27 home runs in a season).

You can take a look around twitter and see his swing from years past and notice a dramatic change in his stance + bat path.

Plus the high hands stance adds like 100 intimidation. Manny, Juan Gone, Joey Bats. High hands just makes it look like that ball is gonna get cranked every AB.

Crazy to think how much a Teo trade would have altered our fortunes and that of Seattle.

I hope that whichever prospect we didn't want to part with to make it happen really pans out.
