Okay, do I sound crazy for kinda wanting the Jays to sign JD? He can still hang at 3B and is at the very least a contributor vs LHP. I feel like he could fit that Espi role much better sans pinch running.
Can't hurt. Might be like when Yankees brought in Carpenter for a few months and he got hot.

LAA traded their #3, 7, 9, 18 prospects for Giolito/Grichuk/Lopez less than a month ago. Holy hell, what a disaster for that franchise.

Hunter Renfroe is interesting, though. Has been in a slump since the ASB but is the sort of RH 4th OF/DH power bat that this team seemed to most need at the deadline and isn't too far off Teoscar as a player.

Corona bar in top deck in let field .. get there a bit early and sit right on overhang .. could not believe it but for 20 best seats we have ever had with amazing views and you have a table in front for drinks and food .. bring a kid to run to bar to keep da Corona coming in hard .. and they don't stop beer early like rest of Dome .. those renos are damn good idear
I love those standing room spots. I have four great seats in Dunedin and rarely sit in them since the renovation. We stand/sit in the CF flight deck or one of the tables

Grichuk could be interesting just to handle the orioles.. guy damn nearsingle handidly destroyed them while he was with us.

might be a good idea if we can keep him out of the outfield

LOL the Angels are something else. What a disaster

Moore and Lopez would look good in any pen, Giolito wasn't a mess before coming to LAA, no idea what happened to Renfroe's power but maybe getting out there will help, and Grichuk can mash LHP

I can legitimately see all of these guys getting claimed. For the Jays, I'd be interested in the relievers

Wait, wut? Just hoping someone claims them so save a few bucks of cash? Has this been a route any team has ever taken? Buying and then waiving their acquisitions less than a month later? I know we just did it with De Jong but that's different

Pretty weird for the Angels to be blowing it up already
Guess they didn't like Giolito's loss yesterday

Including Bader who also just got waived, here's how I'd rank all these guys in terms of how well they would fit this team's needs:
1. Grichuk
2. Bader
3. Renfroe
4. Moore
5. Lopez
6. Giolito

For the bad side platoon Bader wins over Grichuk tbh. Then add in his plus defence and baserunning and he would be a no brainer bench option. Not sure he makes it to us in the wire though.

I prefer Grichuk because of his outfield versatility but really it's 1A and 1B between those 2. Renfroe because he only plays RF/1B/DH I was tempted to rank below Moore but this team really needs more bats that hit lefties well. Reynaldo Lopez sucks in high leverage this season but extra bullpen depth never hurts.

Other than the fact that he's always hurt, Bader is a perfect fit. He's always hit lefties really well and is doing it again this year. You could sit Kiermaier or Varsho against lefties without taking much of a defensive hit.

Renfroe has always hit lefties until this year. I would probably still take a chance on him.

Still not sure how I feel about Grichuk.

The pitchers, though... there just isn't room for any of them.

I'll be quite surprised if Bader makes it to us. Boston earlier today just lost their starting CF in Jarren Duran for the season with a toe injury and the Red Sox have priority in terms of selection. I'd be shocked if they don't put in a claim.
