If that were the actual standard for ejection that they followed, there would be multiple ejections every inning.

What probably happened is the umpire said "that's enough" or" knock it off" or something like that. Tv probably didn't pick that up.

If you keep going after the umpire says that you'll get ejected immediately

Jeez that team has been hit hard with injuries. Their TJ rotation:
McClanahan
Springs
Rasmussen
Baz (last year)

That would be the best rotation in baseball lol

With all the injuries, they still have:
Glasnow
Eflin
Civale
Littell (because of course this random dude is pitching OK)
Opener/Bradley

Not amazing, but solid enough to give them a chance.

Wonder if he gets bumped up to Dunedin?

HS picks tend to be based a lot on ‘athleticism’ against bad competition and you never really know what you’re getting in terms of strike zone recognition so that 7:4 BB:K ratio out of the box is great news.

Any interest as insurance?

Odd time to release a guy who had reached base in 12 of his last 17 plate appearances.

Bobby Witt Jr’s been absolutely insane in the 2nd half of the year. He’s been terrorizing Seattle this series

Made a trade for him in a yearly keeper fantasy league on Yahoo (in hindsight should've been vetoed) absolutely loving him.

For all the hype he came with, his first year and a half were pretty underwhelming. Last year he had a 99 wRC+, a sub-.300 OBP, and was one of the worst defensive SS in the game by any metric.

This year, his defensive numbers range from solid to elite, which is a massive improvement, but he still had an 87 wRC+ at the end of June. The last month and a half, though, have been ridiculous... 182 wRC+ since July 1.

RA9-WAR (qualified)

9. Gausman (3.6)
20. Kikuchi (3.1)
24. Berrios (2.8)
39. Bassitt (1.9)

Ryu's also positively contributing as the #5.
Early in the year, Kikuchi was solid (or at least much better than last year) with pretty bad peripherals despite the ERA. Lately, though, he's been dominant by any metric: in the last two months, he's 2nd in baseball with 1.9 fWAR.

He was vastly underperforming his expected stats in the first half. I think he was near the bottom in wOBA-xwOBA and SLG-xSLG (made him a great buy-low candidate in fantasy)

Vlad was also near the bottom at the time, and still is....

Made ground up on everyone ahead of the Jays last night. Jays get within 6.5 of Baltimore, then go back down to 8.5, now again at 7.5 games back. Same with Tampa, get within 4, then it’s 6. Now it’s back to 4. Can’t the Jays just get hot for a few weeks instead of treadmilling? I am hoping once more of the guys return, that they will get hot.

After today's game, their schedule is rather favorable. Reds have been struggling since the trade deadline. O's are tough but after that, they have 5 fairly easier series.

As much as I’d prefer facing Minnesota in the WC series don’t look now but Cleveland are only 4 games back… I want nothing to do with their starting rotation with our line-up.
