He sucked plenty last year before working the slider into his repertoire.

I won't pretend to know much about pitch usage and run values and that kind of stuff, but it looks like all of his pitches (except the slider, which is new this year) have ranged between excellent and awful over the last few years. Considering how much he struggles with control, I assume the best bet would be to make him a two-pitch pitcher and get him to work on harnessing those instead of the varied repertoire that hasn't really gotten him anywhere so far.
I don't mind the 2 pitch approach. I just don't want it to be 2 that don't work together. He has the Kikuchi, Cecil problem where he's throwing too many pitches that a hitter can guess one and hit the other.

Pretty surprised to see them move Sammy Hernandez this soon given the lack of catchers on the farm(which is a new feeling). He did really well in the small stint in the FCL this year. Struggled in A ball but he's obviously young. Got a chunk overslot in the 14th round last year. Seemed like he had some potential. Like most young players probably turns out to be nothing but you never know.

Cabrera has always had issues with walking guys, even in his 1 good year in 2021. We'll see if they can fix him. Just seems a hair expensive for a DFA trade return

Non top 20 prospect for Teo at the deadline? Or Biggio for Teo as Seattle needs a 2B.

How JWB gets over a million and Bohrofen got underslot int he 6th round I'll never know. Reading the scouting reports I'm more intrigued by the latter tbh. At least they're all done.

Now it's time to be greedy and want them to get milb action. I assume Maroudis probably takes the Tiedemann/Barriera route of staying in the lab for the rest of the year. Some of the college arms may follow suit, or get late action. Shouldn't be that long for the bats to see game action though

Horwitz suddenly going on a power streak. HR in the 1st today, that's his 3rd in the last 3 games and 5th in 9 games.

He's got the poor man's Don Mattingly development happening. Natural hitters whose power came in the mid-20's.
