Trade him while he is hot! :sarcasm:

It is crazy that Biggio was so bad early on that even with these red hot tears he's been on, his OPS+ on the year sits at 88.

I'll become the #1 Biggiliever if once the heater ends he doesn't immediately go back on a cold spell. Give me consistent 110 WRC+ against RHPs for the rest of the year and we'll be golden, Cavan.

Somewhere Keith Law is quietly stewing.

I mean I think at this point I feel like we likely don't see him again this season. He needs to go into the shadow realm for a month or two and completely start from scratch and no putting him on a treadmill and giving him a carrot isn't the answer to this lol

Geez...the guy went from looking like an an absolute stud and long-term ace to seemingly completely broken in a matter of months. An absolute bizarre turnaround.

I thought if he toned down his balls-to-the-walls exuberance on practically every play, it'd help settle him down. But obviously there is way more to it, and I'm not sure it's just between his ears.

Almost looks good on him. Felt he didn’t need to train over the offseason. Thought he was too good or what? Now he’s the one of the biggest joke in sports

Cy young candidate to an out of shape bum who can’t even get some random teenagers out.

He won’t back in the majors for a long time if ever again. What a waste

I think he'll come back, but it might take a while. Sounds like he needs to take care of his body and his mind.

I wouldn't want to be a batter facing him any time soon. A 300 lb hard-throwing pitcher with a mean streak that likes to throw high and inside. The trick might be to hit him before he hits you, and I'll bet there will be a few HBP along the way.

He can't be a happy camper.

I tend not to put too much stock into starts like this (whether in the minors or in spring training or whatever) because pitchers are often trying completely different things... new grips or a new delivery or working exclusively on one pitch or whatever. So the results are usually way less important than the process.

But... damn. The results in that start are so over the top that it's hard to see there being a developmental silver lining of some kind.

The point to be made here is that the Jays are in the market for a starting pitcher.

Jordan Montgomery, Marcus Stroman, Blake Snell, Lucas Giolito, Rich Hill are some names that might pop up around the deadline.

Wow. I don't even really know how to respond to that.

That isn't 'out of shape'. Something at this point is either very physically wrong that they haven't figured out and/or he's just totally mentally broken.

He did train, but he may have not have trained the best way for a pitcher.

The amount of people who think everything will be a-okay if he goes down a pant size is genuinely shocking.
That being said if Manoah loses weight while simultaneously returning to form (whether the two are linked or not), the Weight Watchers sponsorship dollars will be through the roof. Absolute bricks of cash.

Wait was this the first actual Game time against real batters he has faced since his demotion?
