I keep seeing posters mention dach. He’s not guaranteed to ever play again. Don’t depend on it. Move on.
That's like saying when Caufield had his shoulder injury and surgery, hes not guaranteed to be able to score well again. Out of the two positions, yours is clearly the hyperbolic one

Just looked at the schedule - 5/6 of the next games are vs tough opponents (Boston x2, Vegas, Vancouver, Detroit). And then after that it's out to California for the dreaded road trip.

This team has a legitimate chance of going 1-8 or 2-7 in the next 9.

Tough to watch honestly, it's frustrating knowing there's another 70 games of shit

Be prepared for another year next year where it's obvious they won't be in the playoffs hunt. But at least they will win with more frequency and there will be more young guys on the squad.

It's hard to imagine us finishing higher than the bottom 5.

It's gonna be hard to watch most of the year, but we should be getting a top 5 pick.

Last year, Habs started to plummet in December, we aren't there yet...

Sharks, Flames and Blackhawks are going to finish lower.
If the Oilers/Sens don't change course, they will too.

Habs should really finish 5-10, unless they start to play even worst than now...which is kind hard to imagine. Like Matheson looking even worst than he does already?

4 weeks or so into the season it's really hard to say just where things will end up since so many teams will be so close in the standings for the bulk of the season. The only thing we know for sure is no one is beating SJ to 1st OA pre lottery.

The main thing now is we need the young players to show progress over time and hope this team can draft and develop. If they can't it won't matter how much we tank or lose or how many picks we get although a broken clock is right twice a day so I guess if you get a shit ton of picks you are bound to hit on a couple perhaps.

I am surprised at how many bad teams there are in the NHL, if I were the league I would be worried since all that expansion may have just weaken the league. At least based off last year as I haven't seen or followed the NHL too much this year yet.

I try to remember the last time a 22 years old retired because of injuries but nothing comes to my mind.
Brett Lindros.. And a CHL player just retired at 19 because of a lesion and other unknown abnomalies on his brain.

I just find it so bad that we are going with positional needs. Because we went positional needs. There are so many insane RD's this year.

I mean...if you REALLY have to go position.....shouldn't you be able to kinda foresee the future 1 or 2 years in advance and see what can be available in different draft years EVEN if there,s always changes?

We are really not picking Levshunov this year because we,ve picked Reinbacher? Even if Celebrini, Eiserman, Demidov or Catton are gone? We will really go to the next...forward?

It's just bad strategies all over if we do that. The only way it makes sense is if your strategy was, is and will ever be needs. Which makes no sense to me.

If those 4 are gone and you draft top 10 you kind of have to take a dman this year. Who else is available as a forward who is worthy to be drafted top 10? I'm not sure drafting Mitchkov was a choice KH was able to make last year like i'm not sure the great Russian purge was the idea of MB. Ain't Molson close to liberal party leaders?

I don't even understand how why we draft by need when we have needs everywhere, that alone should make us go BPA.
