They were never going to lose this game.

Well we were outshot 41 to 20 something...

Happy for Prims. Not happy for the draft pick.

Hopefully, we go back to losing against the playoff teams and playoff hopefuls.

I'm convinced we're heading towards the same perpetual mediocrity zone we've been stuck in for decades. Good defense and goaltending, mediocre at best offense with no game breaking talent.
Good enough to make the playoffs but never good enough to contend for anything, rinse and repeat.

Our only hope is winning the lottery this year and I don't see it. I know I'm a pessimist, a debbie downer, whatever you want to call it. But that's how I feel, hope they prove me wrong in a few years.

Our only hope :nono:

Well, at least Ottawa won tonight, so they're still 4 pts back with 2 games in hand. They even did it in OT, so Pens picked up a point. Montreal still closes to within 5 pts of Pens, who hold one game in hand.

Buffalo destroyed Detroit, and passed NJD. They're 7 pts up now & we don't need to concern ourselves with them. In fact, Buffalo is now only 5 pts from WC2, although Islanders have 2 games in hand.

With the win tonight, the chase for #4 spot is over. We've moved 6 points up on CBJ. That's too much to overcome.

Coyotes are down 2-1 to Wild after 2.

At least the Sens are still within reach

6th pre-lotery wouldn't be the end pf the world. Not like last year when we picked after a clear drop (even though I like DR). Picking 6-7th should give us a player roughly of the caliber of the 3rd overall pick, although we won't get as much choice obviously. Hoping for a few teams in front of us to draft defensemen.

Totally fair...

I'm a Bills fan, so I get it 🤣
Don't worry I'm a Cowboys fan so I've been crying myself to sleep for the last 25 years, not getting rid of the Jerry Jones PTSD anytime soon that's for sure.

Next we have Boston at home then Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Seattle and Colorado on the road. They better get 2-3 points tops in that stretch man I swear to god, and the shit teams behind us better win some too.

Yeah, Montreal has a really tough stretch of games to finish the season. They may get points against Calgary & Seattle, but that's probably it.

Detroit is chocking hard right now. Probably going to miss the playoff. Buff getting out of a top 10 pick(kinda like last year). Getting red hot at the wrong time and a little bit to late. I'm wondering if the Sabers get lucky and Cole Eiserman drop to them in the 2024 draft (like Benson).

Kinda crazy that Washington still has a chance of making the playoff.
