Nope, he plays down the middle, he is their 2nd line center. Jukurit is one of the top teams in Liiga and Helenius plays a big role there.
They switched him to the center starting this year ? Last games I saw were in December I d say and pretty sure he was playing 2nd line winger at the time ? If that is so, good to know probably means his draft value increases.

I started to watch Konsta at some point in January, he played center in all my viewings.

Here is an epic 1 on 1 battle Konsta vs Oliver Kapanen from today game, ironically, both wears number 91 and play center.

that only happens the last 2-3 games of the season and the beauty is that we play Detroit back to back at the end of the season who are fighting for their playoff lives so they will 100% try their best in those games.
Not necessarily. Some teams prefer to start resting players earlier trying to make sure they are on point for the last couple of games.
It goes beyond just resting players though. There will be certain teams who are set in their position and will play some IDGAF games.
It's really hard to predict how it affects not only your team but the teams around you.

One thing is for sure he has built in versatility which our group seem to embrace.
He definitely checks a lot of the boxes we will require with our first pick.
I'm not sure who else we'd be looking at if he is still on the board?

Maybe Iginla since he is on an interesting trajectory curve, but I prefer Helenius personally at this point.

How am i ignoring the past 60 games?
By using funny math and putting more weight on some games over others like putting more weight on games last season then you do the 60+ games this season. That's how you ended up with the "true talent" being lower then what we've actually shown.

So looking at our record against the teams we are left facing over both this year and over the past 3 years if projecting the points we should get it ends up being

18.2 points if only using this year's record and 16.6 points if using the past 3 years. So even when factoring in the "tough" schedule we are on pace for somewhere between 74.6 and 76.2

Yeah, he's definitely been playing center & has pretty good lower body strength already. He plays a bit like Koivu along the boards. He keeps his feet moving, uses his body for puck protection, and has the edges for escapability. I think he winds up with a Suzuki type build. He's a better skater than Suzuki at the same age.

Probably Catton if he's still there. It depends on where we pick & who's in front of us. I can see Arizona taking Demidov, or Catton if Demidov isn't there. Ottawa probably takes a D.

Demidov, Huselius, Catton & Iginla are the 4 options at our pick. Lindstrom will be gone before we pick unless we get #2 lottery spot.

Arizona has no defenseman signed beyond this year and the only defenseman they have in the pipeline are Soderstrom, Simashev and Lamoureux. I'd expect them to go defense over another forward.

Yeah not sure with them. Simashev was a surprise pick, but they don't have all that much depth up front either. Lol They could go D again, especially if Dickinson is there.

It's really a crap shoot after #1.

They've got Keller, Schmaltz, Cooley, Guenther on their team now. Took But last year and Geekie the year before.

D more of a need imo

They got Cooley and Guenther already in NHL. Geekie and But are other recent high picks. Maccelli is also young, Keller too. That's a promising top 6 core going forward.

Söderström is 23 already and still hasn't made the NHL despite the very weak blueline they have. They need way more than Simashev and Lamoureux.

I'd be surprised if they didn't go for D (assuming they don't win the lottery).

My guess is 74 which would put us 7th based on last years standings.

Sabres win 3-2 in OT. Power scores the OT winner with 2 seconds left in OT.

Edit: Damn.. No goal. Ruled offside. Both teams were already in their dressing rooms. 20.1 seconds left. Need to wait for teams to come back out.
