All teams are not ready a few games a year. The bad teams lose those games. The good team can manage to win a few of them.Definitively there have been games where the team didn't look and didn't play like they were ready for puck drop, and MSL even admitted as much; but whether this is on MSL/couching staff, vs. coach(es) and players, lack of talent, lack of maturity, or a combination of all these and other factors, I don't know. Probably the latter, I suspect.
I've always said the difference between a good team and a bad team is good teams win games they deserve to lose while bad teams lose games they deserve to win. All teams have ups and downs and look very good and very bad a few games a year. But as we say in french "le crème remonte toujours sur la surface".
When we had Price he was able to win those games where the team should not show up. That's what elite talent does. Can win games without playing that well.
