I wouldn't, he's quite one dimensional. Goalscorers in this league are dynamic, being a dual threat helps you score a lot more.

It doesn't make sense to trade up for anyone not named Celebrini unless we win a lot of games.
I can’t argue hard for that one player. I’d defer to scouts on him. I brought up Sakic and Bossy but there’s always Patrick Laine.

Barring him though, Lindstrom would be another I’d trade up for.

No one trades down from the top 10 unless it they are offered the moon.
That is very true, as it doesn’t happen. But hey, we have to get the big time talent someway or another right? We have very limited options to get that elusive talent, so yes Hugo needs to get it done somehow. I’m not blaming them at all, just pointing out the obvious. We are missing that catalyst. In my view, at least.

Some GM’s get lucky and come in with that piece already in place (like MB with Price, arguably), other’s are burdened with that task as one's that will need to make it happen.

Depends on the draft. Depends what’s offered. Depends how far down you move.

This is a draft where a lot of guys could go anywhere. Eiserman has been ranked anywhere from 2nd to 8th. Lindstrom 4th to 10th….

So unless you’re really set on a player it may actually make sense to move down if you’re given a good package. And we have so much to trade with.

You can't have your cake and eat it too in this league. Some of y'all were content with meaningless points and now want to trade/wish we had a top 3 pick.....lol.
Well, I’m going to guess that the ones that are happy with the points aren’t the ones that want a top 3 pick and vice versa, not the same posters that want both to happen probably.

This might be the draft where it happens. If 2 through 10 are relatively equal a team that doesn't care which one they get may trade with another team in the top 10 who has a preference.

Washington is a team to watch out for, they stink and they have the toughest remaining SOS. Thankfully they just tied Dallas with two goals in the final two minutes. Hope they can win it in OT.

The miserable Sabres are tied 2-2 in SJ after going down 2-0.

Calgary and Minny need wins tonight against Chicago and Anaheim.

It doesn't. We will win 5-4 instead of 5-2. Pens goalies mean we score at least 5.

Expect a win for tonight. We all know we are winning this 200%. There's absolutely no reality where the Pens are winning a game against us. Accept this fact now and you'll sleep better tonight.

How about we lose 6-5 and Slafkovsky gets a hat trick and Caufield with 4 points.

Buffalo pulled off a 5-2 win, so move a point ahead. They have the tie breaker, so Montreal will stay behind them if they earn an OTL or SOL.

So far so good.

Still to come tonight:

Coyotes @ Hurricanes (Arizona is falling fast)
Rangers @ Senaturds
Ducks @ Wild (Easy win Minny!)
Hawks @ Flames (Ditto!)

I still think the Ducks can pass us (they have the talent to do so) so definitely cheering for them.
An OT win would be ideal.

Pens always f*** us over. Started when they choked the COVID play-ins against us ruining our pick (at least we got Guhle), couldn't beat one of the worst teams in the league to make the playoffs and give us a top 15 pick from Florida, and now giving us more points in the standings.
