Not a single name from my 5 name short list was taken since my last pick. Not sure if good or bad.

It's normal. You see that in pro leagues as well. Typically, most people agree on the top guys. Beyond that, everyone has their favorites or guys they just won't draft.

with the 116th selection the Oilers Select, from the Spokane Chiefs forward Adam Helewka

Adam is a hard working forward who plays a smart game. He has a nice offensive touch and has shown good development progress this season.

Hey i'm sorry if i wanted to watch the conference final opening game. then take a moment to cry about the pathetic performance. I waiting like 3 days for my pick one guy took over an entire day to choose. i would expect some lenience on a game day. Carry on now.

description for my previous pick

:edmonton

with he 91st pick in the draft the Oilers are proud to select defenceman Adam Ollas Mattsson

At 6’4â€, 209-pounds, Adam has imposing size and plays a physical game. He is a strong defender with good positioning and long reach who can play a good shut down role.

Why is this draft such a complicated procedure for some...do people not have lists? Take the top guy on your list..why does there almost have to be a holy ceremony for some of the picks..people have to be in the right frame of mind..and take hours to contemplate a choice. It's a relatively meaningless mock draft...you can't pick one guy at the top of a list without hours of thought...Game Day or not Game day?

Anyway - I'll make my pick later.....

After lengthy deliberation..Nashville is pleased to select Niagara goaltender Brent Moran with the 117th pick.

Moran really came on as the season went along. Teams went to Niagara games to scout Perlini and others and came away more impressed with Moran many nights. Big, skilled and quick.

No need to put it all fancy, just drop the name of the pick. Write it up later when you have time. It takes less than a minute to post a pick. ;)

I totally agree. Drop the name, and go back, if you have time, later to write a few words on him.

You are doing this on purpose.....:shakehead

Well - I hear he's likely going in the second round.. so when he's still there at the end of the fourth...." ;)

Fleury
MacLeod
Masin
Johansson
Rod
Moran

Six players in THN's top 60 (and mine since it was my list)....I think that would be a pretty good haul for Nashville..they'd be set on the back end for a decade.

I was absolutely going to go with him for my pick. Yep Moran is most definately at worst a 3rd rounder.

i guess i probably should not have posted anything and just pretended not to come online before the game then it would have saved a lot of trouble then.

Hard to take time to check my list when i have people coming over and i have to accommodate my guests.

Moran and Siebenaler benefited from all the scouts showing up to see Perlini and Haydon...eventually came to realize they were likely better prospects than Haydon.

It's okay man, no worries. My post was not aimed necessarily towards you, it was for everyone.

You seem not to be grasping the main crux of my consternation..coming on before the game and saying you'll post "later" - that could mean anywhere from ten minutes to hours to days...that told us absolutely nothing other than to wait an undetermined amount of time..as you were too "excited" before the game (all morning) to consult your list, pick a player and type two words.

If it had been possible for you to simply state that you'd post after the game as that was too much of a task for you pre-game or during the intermissions..that may have been the thing you "should have" done. Feeling justified in delaying your pick because you "had to wait three days and one guy almost took a day" isn't going to win you any sympathy either. We all had to wait for the guy, not just yourself.

His post made it pretty obvious that he was going to pick AFTER the game. I don't see how you could take it any differently.

I want this thing to go fast too, but you get a PM when it's your turn. No need to get so angry.

Hadn't seen Mads on a 60" TV before.. even more pumped about my pick. The guy skates like the wind. He could make the NHL on that alone.

Sorry about the wait. I waited before and no one was posting so I moved on.

With the 118th pick, Colorado is proud to select from Waterloo of the USHL, Tyler Sheehy.

TylerSheehyBurnsville_large.jpg

Tyler is a shifty little offensive machine who is simply fun to watch. Slick playmaker with a nose for the net. Smart decision making. First steps must improve to an extra gear to be successful in the pros but we like the Gophers commit as he went on to be a key player on a strong Waterloo team.
