And I will be very surprised if either Semien , Ray or Vlady have the same numbers moving forward. Too bad we didn’t make the post season.

Vlad is one of the best prospects of all time (this is not hyperbole, he had one of the best hitting tool ratings as a prospect of all time). If he keeps his weight off, he'll be an MVP candidate for a long time.

Semien had a great year...but not as good of a year as he had 2 years prior. He's no fluke.

Ray had a career year...but he's had similar performances 3 times in his career before. He's also no fluke, although I'm not expecting another CY Young next year.

Don't forget that Springer also missed half of last year, not to mention significant time missed by Kirk, Pearson, etc.

Any news about Vladdy working with the same trainer as last year? I'm hoping he takes this offseason as seriously as he did last year.

How would people feel about taking a run at Correa, shifting Bo to 2nd and then moving Biggio in a package with prospects for Ramirez? Maybe a package centered around Biggio, Groshans and other sweeteners as needed could get something done.

I don't think the org is ready to pull the chute on Bichette at SS yet. If they want him long term part of that is going to be keeping him happy, and part of that is going to be giving him every opportunity possible to show he can get better and be a proper shortstop.

If a few years from now he's still struggling and they can sell a move to 2B as "it lets you keep focusing on your bat, and look what it did for Semien" after they've got him locked up long term, maybe. But for now I think we need to go into any roster discussions expecting that Bichette is going to be at short for the foreseeable future (barring something unexpected and awful like an injury that limits his mobility)

The Dodgers signed Andrew Heaney, so there goes one of the potential buy-low rebound SP candidates (there's an article on The Athletic where Eno Sarris looks at FA pitchers to find the next potential Robbie Ray like breakout and Heaney was one of the guys on their list.

That would be too bad in my opinion. Correa would be a big defensive upgrade and brings a quality bat himself.

I'd like to see Ryu moved for a bucket of popcorn shrimp .

I'm over Marcus Stroshow Simien tho. Saw this coming back in July high as a Hyun Jin breaking ball.

i wonder what the cost would be for chapman, i would prefer ramirez but i think hes gonna fetch so much in a trade.

If they go full rebuild, i think they would ask for someone like Groshans. Jays may counter with Otto Lopez, Hiraldo and/or Kloffenstien.

If they are retooling, they are looking for cheap players like Gurriel or Biggio. Would love to make a blockbuster, Gurriel and Biggio for Chapman, Olson and Manaea. Might have to add a pitcher or prospects.

Oakland would save $30M and the Jays could have $30M to $40M to spend to bring back Ray and/or Semien.

that would be solid no doubt, i think chapman could have some big seasons in toronto.

With Atkins coming out and saying that Moreno at 3B is very realistic, one might think that Groshans is very much on the table to be traded. I can see Martinez bumping Bichette to 2nd base eventually as well. Having an infield of Moreno, Martinez, Bichette and Vladdy for years to come is absolutely phenomenal

We’d have to add im sure but they just make too much sense as a trade partner. Don’t love that Chapman is expiring though

Those are some fairly impressive numbers in aaa without digging any further. Not sure why we exposed him to waivers so early
Baker was pretty dominant in AAA, yeah. Guessing they like Pearson, Castro and Merryweather more from the right side.

Seems as though some of the mid tier guys may sign quick this year as teams try to jump on some better value while the massive 9 figure deals take time to evolve.
