And I will be very surprised if either Semien , Ray or Vlady have the same numbers moving forward. Too bad we didn’t make the post season.
How would people feel about taking a run at Correa, shifting Bo to 2nd and then moving Biggio in a package with prospects for Ramirez? Maybe a package centered around Biggio, Groshans and other sweeteners as needed could get something done.
That would be too bad in my opinion. Correa would be a big defensive upgrade and brings a quality bat himself.I don't think the org is ready to pull the chute on Bichette at SS yet. If they want him long term part of that is going to be keeping him happy, and part of that is going to be giving him every opportunity possible to show he can get better and be a proper shortstop.
If a few years from now he's still struggling and they can sell a move to 2B as "it lets you keep focusing on your bat, and look what it did for Semien" after they've got him locked up long term, maybe. But for now I think we need to go into any roster discussions expecting that Bichette is going to be at short for the foreseeable future (barring something unexpected and awful like an injury that limits his mobility)
Giddy up. Not really new news though.

i wonder what the cost would be for chapman, i would prefer ramirez but i think hes gonna fetch so much in a trade.
that would be solid no doubt, i think chapman could have some big seasons in toronto. If they go full rebuild, i think they would ask for someone like Groshans. Jays may counter with Otto Lopez, Hiraldo and/or Kloffenstien.
If they are retooling, they are looking for cheap players like Gurriel or Biggio. Would love to make a blockbuster, Gurriel and Biggio for Chapman, Olson and Manaea. Might have to add a pitcher or prospects.
Oakland would save $30M and the Jays could have $30M to $40M to spend to bring back Ray and/or Semien.
We’d have to add im sure but they just make too much sense as a trade partner. Don’t love that Chapman is expiring thoughIf they go full rebuild, i think they would ask for someone like Groshans. Jays may counter with Otto Lopez, Hiraldo and/or Kloffenstien.

Baker was pretty dominant in AAA, yeah. Guessing they like Pearson, Castro and Merryweather more from the right side. Those are some fairly impressive numbers in aaa without digging any further. Not sure why we exposed him to waivers so early
