The New York Rangers are a perfectly built team this year

Their most elite forward, their captain and their Norris defender are all there not cause NYR is well-managed, well-built team but cause NYR is NYR.
So somehow players wanting to play for your team, and fitting them all in, and them being successful, is a bad thing?

Rangers are rollllinggggg

Lafreniere & Kakko also looking like seasoned vets out here.

This team is just dominating face offs, shots on goal, to add to already great goaltending. Good luck

Very similar to last year. Top goalie, top of the lineup talent, bleh bottom guys and inconsistent 5v5 so far

Their young guys stepping up more than marginally and Shesty not just being amazing (he will be) but historically good like last season (no guarantee) and they’ll be a sure top team

But as usual 1 week, small sample etc

I got to say, it's early, but the Rangers and Canes clearly seem like the best two teams in the East this year. Rangers have the greater star power but the Canes make up for it with elite shot suppression. The Metro crown and home ice is going to be a total dog-fight between them.

Rangers fans have discussed this thread and in no way endorse CBJ fans having massive boners for our team. Go back and focus on Laine's attire, plenty to discuss there. Thank you and goodnight.

I'm conflicted. Shesterkin is probably the best goalie in the league, Fox is one of the best D-men (and their D as a whole is good), and Panarin is great. But I can't imagine that Kreider has the puck luck he did last year, and I like their top 3 forwards a hell of a lot more than I like their bottom 9 forwards. If Laf and Kakko start putting up points like top 6ers, I'd put them up there.

They look very very good right now.

Kakko, Laf, Chytil and Miller have taken noticeable steps forward. Panarin and Zibanejad have come out of the gate firing. Jones is a major improvement at 6D. The team is comfortable in year two of Gallant’s system. And they are playing with a lot of confidence.

If Laf/Kakko play and produce like top 6 players, the Rangers are the favorites to come out of the east. Sure looks like that’s going to happen. Both look great.

Bruins, Knights, now Rangers. Let’s see if the curse of the “3 game sample size” threads rears its ugly head.
