LOL Jesus H Christ the delusion of this guy.Shestyorkin was 6-0-2 before this game, they ran into a red hot Bruins team.
They’re still comfortably in a play off position and still are a perfectly build team.
I’m sorry I didn’t expect Lafreniere to continue zero production, Kreider to stop scoring goals in bunches and captain Trouba to become an absolute pylon.
However, once they get going, watch out
FTFY
They're TENTH in the East in points percentage, not only not comfortably in a playoff position, they aren't even in a playoff position right now.
MANY expected Laf to continue to not produce, Kreider's goals last year to be a massive outlier and for Trouba to be an overpaid net negative. None of those 3 things are very likely to change...
It's still early, things absolutely can change, but they are nowhere near a perfectly built team -- partly because of your boy Breadman being so overpaid and being so soft.
It shouldn't have been unexpected for them but Shesty coming back down to earth should be a concern too as he carried the team last year. Also I'd say coaching lately has been a big concern for them. They have some really great pieces in place but it's not easy to pull it all together. I think last year was a similar cinderella run to the Canes' in 2018-19, it's taken several more years of building by the Canes with bumps along the way to become a true contender, which is still not even a given. I expect the Rags' timeline to be similar, if they don't blow it entirely. The only thing that would really concern me if I were a Rangers fan is the continued lack of production from Kakko and Lafreniere. I can’t imagine a single Rangers fan actually expected a 50 goal repeat from Kreider.
