They traded for Atkinson because he is Hayes' buddy then hired Torts because of Atkinson, who has never won shit or had a good coach in the NHL, wanted him.

They are so f***ing pathetic and clueless that I truly hate them more than any other team.

Just like everything else, they’re doing what they know to do, which is hire who they already knew, and we all knew this was the only outcome since they fired AV. Trotz was just a distraction who they didn’t expect to be out there.

I don't want Torts at all.

Anyone have any legit positives with this? I'm pretty sure Torts did adapt and change his system with CBJ. He's not the same chip and chase guy he was in 2010.

Post #2 of this thread:

It’s going to be Tocchet, Torts, or Laperriere.

I mean haven’t you guys seen the great job that Lappy is doing with the Phantoms?! Has them playing way above their heads!

All three are lazy and unimaginative and as we know Fletcher is a lazy sack of feces with no imagination.

Before thinking about changing his game McDavid would first have to change teams. Even if he turned into Patrice Bergeron, it wouldn't make a difference in Edmonton.
I agree. Or his team will have to change. But, back to my question- Is Torts totally in a wrong there?

Also, Flyers do not have a McDavid or someone even close to that tier of talent on the roster, but they do have a lack of winning culture and work discipline. I for one would agree to any coach that can foster that.

I am not advocating for Torts specifically. For the next year or two this team will need to focus on shaking off martini stench and building a culture of accountability and responsibility, as well as drafting and developing talent. And I would like to have a bench boss that can do that. Trotz seems to be better suited for that. But he does not seem to be in the cards.

Torts?
