Given some of ASF's hot takes, I think his sources are pretty marginal.
Charlie is a real reporter, he wants multiple sources to confirm any rumor, and doesn't seem to jump on things just to be first.

I find both groups of people generally annoying on both podcasts. Charlie’s probably the one that’s fine to me from that standpoint. But I just shift through all that stuff & perk my ears up when Charlie & ASF drop some informational nuggets. That’s really the only reason I listen to either. It’s probably easier in podcast forum to relay such things than in print online.

Well the blues are a very good drafting team, hitting on several guys in the late first. Pietrangelo is a very important player. Plus the blues did well with making some big and favorable trades at the time like ROR. So it’s one team that had a lot go right for them and won a cup when it’s not like they were a cup favorite. Versus a lot of other teams that had near or modern day dynasties by tanking.

They drafted well (their one high pick is better than any defender we have) AND traded well. We haven’t really done either well. Sad times…

I was watching some of the OHL Final and didn't realize Marc Savard was coaching Windsor (Absolute unit now btw). First year head coach at any level and he's taken a team with one legit prospect to within a game of a league championship. Third best Goal Differential in the regular season also so not sure it's a fluke. No idea if he can coach, but that's what I'd be targeting instead of these aged out, recycled coaches with a short shelf life.
