2 absolutely horrible games in a row, now we can put Hutton (64th in league with 3.44 GGA) in for the Rangers game. 0 - 3 to start the road trip. Unless all of a sudden we can score against Lundqvist, just a 1.85 GGA and .943 Sv%, this game will get very fugly.

OR just put up 4 early goals, run Henrik out of the game and face Raanta, 1.25 GAA and .955 Sv%. A certain recipe for success.

Ribeiro has 11 points in 18 games, but yeah we do severely need an upgrade down the middle, the thing is that they don't hit the market at all

The last time the Preds were shut out back to back was Nov 8 and Nov 10 2013 against the Jets and Devils giving up 5 goals in each game.

3 game shutout streak. At this point I can't even blame it on a lack of turd polish. Every mistake going in, every scoring chance missing the mark.

This is now a historic streak.

I know you didn't ask me, but my deal with Ribs was we gave him 2 years. Now he does not care. He should have been given 1 year.

I rarely ever post in this thread, but it's time. Smith and Wilson have done exactly what I feared they would do after signing their big deals last summer: suck, and suck massively.

Really? They aren't producing numbers I'll give you that but if the effort wasn't there that would be one thing, Smith and Wilson are out there playing hard, they just aren't getting the results and it sucks. If they were lolly-gagging around and being lazy I'd say you're right on the money but how many posts has Wilson hit? How often is Smith creating turnovers? I'm down on the fact that the numbers aren't there but same could be said for Forsberg too yet he's out there hustling and trying to make plays

I don't disagree that the effort is there but...

Wilson continues to not go to the net and refuses to shoot the puck with any consistency. Smith has had some horrifically bad turn overs since the start of the month that have been drastically bad. At some point, results have to trump hard work.

reminder, this is the negativity thread.... I don't care if they are trying or what the explanation is, I just had a gut feeling that both of these guys would have crappy seasons after signing their big deals, be it from lack of effort or just bad luck.

Because the Pacific is so bad, I see five central teams making it, and I believe we'll be fourth or fifth from our division. 16 of 30 teams make it, so being a playoff team isn't an accomplishment.

I see very little chance we make it past round 1

You know, for how bad we've been lately we're still pretty damn high in the standings and right in the pack. I'm as bummed at how bad we've been playing lately but all in all its not as bad as I'd like to believe right now.

The only positive in this negative thread...If we're going to have an extended losing streak, better now than later...Poile should be forced to address the 1C offensive issues, PL has to address the Nystrom issue, and if a trade is not working we have the chance to fix it before the deadline instead of stuck with it after the deadline
