So much for firing on all cylinders. This team looks like the one that stumbled into the playoffs.

I'm going to be negative about your negativity tonight. Absolutely nothing negative about this game other than the possible Ellis injury.

I know switching to ICD 10 has sucked, but come on.. we are 4-1-0

Actually, I'm okay with the switch. It's just having 120 unfinished office notes and correcting the prelim ICD-10s that has me feeling negative. Along with being underpaid. :sarcasm:

Let's see.
-third line is a black hole that sucks all offense out of their shift
-trying to remember the last time Ribeiro won a face off
- our back up goalie is a better color commentator than Stu
-Smith and Wilson firing blanks
-can anyone else win a FO besides Goose?
- the Central is Stacked division that will chew us up and spit us out

Yeah, I think that covers it for now. :sarcasm:

Don't agree with the last one, we played well against the central last year. Can't see how we won't somewhat repeat that.

Not a negative but as this is the place to vent.

I am highly amused at Calgary's defense right now after all the crap I heard in the off-season from Flames fans about how their defense corps is almost as good as ours.

I've got a negative to vent about - I play the game 3-4 times weekly and follow 4 different NHL teams, and still, somehow, magically, have nuttin' going on tonight. Sooooo boring. I've been reduced to opening a bottle of wine to hopefully spark an early tucker out for an early sleep.

Thursday cannot come quickly enough, which is a really sad thing to say at my age.:help:

The only negative thing I have to say right now is the third line doesn't seem like it really improved from last year. I think it will, in time, either via trade or call up or whatever, but we aren't going to be able to get out of the first round of the playoffs if our secondary scoring doesn't start heating up.

We usually get them once a year too.

Negative rant - I thought Nashville drivers were bad, until I came to Memphis for the week. Thankfully I get to leave in another two days.
In fairness, I'm unaware of a city where residents think they have good drivers.

Our top 6 isn't scoring right now, we are being carried by our defense and our 4th line. But I don't think we have to shuffle our top-6/9. Let's go with this. -(Lavy)

I'm tired of seeing the Preds out-coached. It might be ok if we saw some Pred out-coaching once-in-awhile, but that's been, what, longer than a CHutton shutout?

Can you elaborate on that?

Sure, let's take last night. How did we get beat? Took away the ONLY thing we've done consistently all year, starting our O around our Dmen. We all marvel at the goal scoring, but those aren't all Weber blasts - many are our D carrying and creating, many are guys sliding up and getting in good position. It wasn't just the Loafs clogging the neutral zone last night, they pretty much pushed our D out to where they couldn't contribute at all like we have regularly seen them - and our Fs had no answer.

Special teams: How they doing? Mediocre a fair assessment? and we got there by being good for a few games, and then progressively worse and we've made what adjustments to get better? Meanwhile, teams are pretty much playing it the same way against us - letting us noodle-around with the puck on the perimeter, burn up the time on the PP. Seems to me that's a legit critique of coaching not getting it done.

How is it that we continually have absolute loss of concentration after we score and give up soooo many "response" goals? Who's rolling those lines out there, who's reminding players to keep focused, that they're coming hard to get that back? Any of that on coaching?

Bigger picture: Coaching have ANY blame for the fact that for 100+ games we've had a 3rd line that's more futile offensively than most 4th lines around the league?
