Meeting Mick Jagger turned out to be a life changing development for Faithful. I wonder if she rues the day.

Or, alternately, her theme song these days might be

I guess you'd have to ask her.

Don't know much about her,did Jagger introduce her to the H? She was a muse was she not for the Stones?

Now, I never saw them live. I saw them on The Midnight Special and they were terrible. Terrible.

{Still in the Detroit area in 1978, I didn't know that, along with other Boston based bands of the time, they honed their chops at the Rat,

(The Rathskeller - Wikipedia

(later an occasional haunt when I came to Boston in '82, later still when I moved to Park Drive in '91.)

Even so, I returned a duplicate Beatles album received as a Christmas gift to Harmony House (sic) and bought their fabulous debut. Meticulously helmed by Queen producer Roy Thomas Baker, the entire set crackles with intelligence, mordant wit, and a fine pop sensibility.

A classic with great songs that still sounds fresh today,

Not Only, But Also Dept.:

I'll leave you to select favorites and find "new" bits. There's a lot there, and a lot of it is good.

Bonus point: Do any remember or encounter local legend "Mr. Butch," who for years used to hang outside the Rat?

Was a fan of the band during the first 2 albums and saw them live at an arena for Candy o tour. Has to be one of the most boring shows to date. The light show consisted of maybe a total of 4 lights and that's it,no movement on stage. We ended up just hanging around the concessions and knocking em back.

Minor Brush With Greatness, Kevin Bacon style. I used to go out with a girl here in Boston, brag no humble brag, a former model. She was friends with Elliot Easton. What a melodic, tasteful guitar player he was/is.

It's unfortunate that Ben became embittered toward Rick, though easy to see why. I believe they reconciled shortly before Orr died.

And I know I shouldn't go there, or here, but let's just say "I don't understand" why Rick left the will he did.
Ocasek, it turns out, was not the greatest dude out there. Easton is such an underrated guitarist. Really too bad, they had a great thing going with one another but as usual, ego, $$ rips apart another terrific band.

I saw them on the Heartbeat City tour and they looked like they were having fun. Saw them on the Door to Door tour and not only did it look like they weren`t having fun, can`t recall one instant where there was any banter between the guys on stage

The original video is fine

but I like this one, too,

An absolute heartbreaker. One of their finest songs and a personal favorite,

The last one I recall was basically Roland Orzabal solo, as Curt Smith had left the partnership at that point,

I haven't heard their latest, though its been well reviewed,

Good call...Love Tears. Do you remember this beauty?

Refs did their damndest to give Sid and Pens two points but Pasta was wise to their (hat) trick

What do Burritos, Gumby and pedal steel guitar all have in common? Sneaky Pete, the worlds most interesting man.

Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

Yahweh & 40

I've seen them 36 times, going back to 1984. Far too many stories to share, but if anyone remembers when they broadcast live at halftime of an NBA Finals game, I have the basketball Bono threw into the crowd. That's definitely the best one.
