Waiting On A Miracle

Love "Bad." Thank you.

For me, one of the standout performances at Live Aid, 1985, summer, I think. London and Philadelphia simulcast worldwide. I watched it all with my girlfriend at the time. Lovely.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day, and happy Evacuation Day (look it up, neophyte).

May have mentioned this yesterday,. Recently discovered that, according to my eldest sister Mary kay, a wee dram of Irish blood courses through me veins.

Supposedly, a great, great grandfather was either born in County Cork or married a lass from same. This comes as a great surprise to me. I am used to thinking I am of German, Albanian, and French descent. Who knew? Not me. Until my sister furnishes the evidence, I remain dubious.

What's funny to me, is that in a town prominently featuring the irish, I never once considered that I might be among them. Temperamentally, we have much in common, however.

May the road rise with you.

And remember,: No dogs, No blacks, No Irish,

Saw them at Great Woods (late 80s I think). They were the warm up band for Billy Idol. They were amazing. I think it was when they released Electric, because I remember that album and Love. Anyway they blew me away.
When Billy Idol came out, we ended up leaving after 3 songs. It was obvious he was mailing it in.
