Love Joe Jackson...Up there in my top all time live performances!
Interesting. I love his work as well, but he was a complete DICK to the audience the one and only time I saw him back in '84-85.

Never seen an artist cuss out audience members for arriving late before.....or for cheering during a song.....Until him. I've seen plenty of egregious behavior at concerts before, but nothing at this show that merited the abuse he was dishing out.

Please don't get me started on that Sandinista album........I get the desire to branch out and explore new styles, I just didn't need 6 freaking album sides of it. Feel free to disagree, to each their own, but I HATE that record with the passion of a 1,000 exploding suns.

Interesting...I wonder if there are other reports of this happening with him. The place I watched him play was subdued. That probably made a difference.

It's just a song.
Didn't mean to comment specifically on the song (I think its actually one of the better ones on that album, along with Police on my Back)......so I hope I didn't ruffle any feathers unnecessarily. Just commenting on that album in general. Like I said, tastes vary and to each their own. Far be it from me to tell people what to like and what not to like.

No ruffling. Just a general comment.

Never seen an artist cuss out audience well, well, members for arriving late before.....or for cheering during a song.....Until him. I've seen plenty of egregious behavior at concerts before, but nothing at this show that merited the abuse he was dishing out.
Well, he has been known to throw a fit. A dyspeptic sort.

We've discussed this before. Sinatra, whom I absolutely adore as an artist, the guy was a genius, and I will inflict him upon you all, was kind of a dick.

Lennon was something of a dick. Morrison was something of a dick. God knows Lou Reed was a dick. Lyndon is a dick.

Dylan, to my knowledge, is a complete dick.

Enjoy the art, if not the person who makes it,
✌️🏒🕶️
