Who's Next by far my favorite Who album.
If you haven't already done so, check out the 1995 re-release of that album. The 7 additional songs are all fantastic. Makes you wonder why they were never released on any of the Who's follow up albums in the first place.

Keith Moon in all of his fantastic glory......

I believe I have the re-release on CD. 71 and 72 were great years for music ... so many great albums released. The original release of Who's Next - every song was great. Heading into my teen years listening on vinyl, 8-track and then cassette that form of media kind of limited the number of songs on an album. Today with digital much easier to expand the number of songs on an album. Otherwise, there are other who songs that I like, but that album stands out to me. Plus it stands the test of time.

Who knew Pete was a Kings fan (and poor speeller)

The boys attended a Kings game in 1967 and then played a little gig in Monterey that was a smashing success

Moon blew the whole thing up when they appeared on Smothers Bros

They hastily left America back to England on their Magic Bus when the ATF went after Moon

Thirty years ago tonight I attended (actually ushered) a Bruce rehearsal show at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank NJ.

I had stayed home sick with a sinus infection. A friend called and said Bruce is playing tonight at Count Basie and the theater manager (a friend of hers) was looking for ushers.

Tickets for the show were announced in the classified section of the paper that day.

It rained like crazy but I jumped in the car and drove to Jersey.

We volunteered to guard the first row, where people would be upgraded from the balcony.

This is a photo of me (far left) and Bruce.

And Bruce climbing around the stage.

And my friend Mon getting my Nebraska signed.

And here’s Bruce singing Achy Breaky Heart. Sort of.

I will never forget that night!!

David Minehan has been playing with Paul's solo work and the last Replacements tour. It would've been nice if he made it with the neighborhoods!

I've seen the Hoods more times than any other band, dozens, if not hundreds of times, and I've never seen them mail it in. Every show was outstanding. Should have been huge.

i'm a bit surprised and disappointed one for the questions

i was fortunate to see bruce at the old garden a few times. the darkness and river tours. incredible

I would have loved to see Bruce on either of those tours, especially "Darkness."

Some of my very favorites on both albums, though the only albums I know inside out are Born to Run, Nebraska, and Magic.
When The Replacements actually gave a shit, their shows were incredible. Saw them in Madison in ‘84 and will never forget it…

Saw them again in ’86 and they were a shitfaced mess. Pretty much played ”Help me Rhonda” over and over with portions of “Nowhere Man“ sprinkled in. I was another dimension of pissed off after that show.

Never went to see them again after that, but it didn‘t bother me, cause I really didn’t care for any of their stuff much, after the Tim album……although Pleased to Meet Me eventually grew on me.

'87's Pleased to Meet Me was actually my introduction to them and I liked it immediately. At the time, my brother Bob lived in London, and he's the one who got me hooked. I went backward in their discography from there, though I never bought or heard Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash.

PTMM
and their major label debut, Let It Be ('84) are my favorites.

There's a name I haven't heard in decades! I don't think I ever listened to them, but I certainly recall they had a following.

Posted before, but anyone know these local boys? I forget how I discovered them or where I saw them live. Some place in Cambridge?

Craps is a great record,
