God, you two are as bad as my brother in law.
What is this absurd, irrational, cult-like obsession with The Dude?
I enjoyed that flick as much as the next guy,. Nonetheless, I am not a Deist.

What is Lebowski's musical legacy? A Bob Dylan rarity, some Creedence and an angry Glenn Freywww.rollingstone.com
Okay, making good on a promise (or threat, depending on your POV).
Big, big Blondie and Deborah Harry fan for several reasons. I could fill three pages of this thread with the perfect, idiosyncratic pop that was Blondie, produced with a deft touch by Mike Chapman,

Deaf, Dumb & Blonde (1989). A lot of (to me) filler on that one, which was produced by former boyfriend and forever friend Chris Stein,

All of the ballads are lovely. The first single:
"Maybe For Sure,"
"Calmarie,"
"Brite Side,"
Some less than stellar lyrics, but an affecting glance back at the early days of the NY scene @ CBGB's, etc.,
Great stuff, and good question.I was extremely lucky once. A friend of mine and I were in lower Manhattan and just on a whim decided to go see a movie. We were in SoHo and I just looked on my phone. A little place called Angelika popped up as having Echo in the Canyon playing. Little did we know that Jacob Dylan would come on stage after the showing and do a Q&A. It was awesome.
I got to ask a question -- I asked him if in talking with Brian Wilson did he feel the man was aware of the fact that he was a musical genius and just extremely humble -- or was he kind of obtuse to that fact.
Dylan said that when he's talked to Wilson he thinks it just doesn't matter to him on any level. He's fascinated and driven to create music by something beyond any aspect of personal accomplishment or ego. In other words, at this stage in his life Brian Wilson doesn't care one bit how he's viewed. He did say that competition with other bands (Beatles) was a huge driver back in the day though and that then was then, vs now being now.
Probably not a great question but I was damned if I wasn't going to raise my hand and talk to the guy.
Love love love Blondie. Such a great band and Deborah Harry was cool with a capital C. And pretty damn attractive too.
Pretty Baby was one of my all time favorites.

Yes, Mike Nesmith wrote this tune,

You don't mess around with Jim Montgomery...
I meant Justin Townes Earle. Addiction took away a massive talent. Not a new story, but.....Dense.

There is only one version of this tune I listen to and it`s by THE man himself
Start of the season thought we'd be fighting for a playoff spot around the All Star break so to be on top of the standings is like floating on cloud nine. Beat the Leafs Weds. and the last three games mean this.
