For Ladyfan,

Mike Campbell (from the Heartbreakers) received a gift from Croz.

David Crosby
Heartbroken….
I was fortunate to get to know him a little, a kind and generous soul.
I told him I liked Martin 12 strings and
a few weeks later this showed up at my door. He gifted me one of his signature models.
It is by far and away the best recording 12-acoustic I have ever played.
Thank you sir for the gift and thank you for all the inspiring music all my life.
Mike

I see you, and raise,

First 'Live" album I ever bought (followed not too much later by Frampton Comes Alive) and Travelin Man has always been my favorite Seger song, thanks for sharing.
Lucky enough to meet him once and he was a gentleman, and have seen him numerous times throughout the years including countless shows at Cobo Hall in the late 70's and early 80's.

Another high energy tune from Live Bullet that lets us know where to find the greatest rock & roll audiences in the world!

And now performed by the person who wrote it

My brother Bobby had Live Bullet (and my brother Michael had Frampton Comes Alive).

Seger was all over Detroit radio, as you might imagine. Bob is the quintessential Midwestern rock and roller, and LB the quintessential Detroit sound. Gritty, no nonsense, authentic. (Sounds like another town I know.)

Also, many don't realize what a fine lyricist and songwriter Seger is. He has a highly developed sense of both drama and melody. Just check the breakthrough hit Night Moves ('76) and ode to lost youth, and the follow up, 1978's Stranger In Town, a jaded meditation on Los Angeles.

Bob is an all time favorite. His stuff stands up extremely well, even today. He also gets points for recording at Muscle Shoals, a pilgrimage made by musicians as diverse as Aretha Franklin, the Rolling Stones, and Paul Simon.

Stills is a perfectionist. IMO Stills is the most talented as a musician and song writer but I like all 4 of them.
Stills and Young both perfectionists with big egos...Love them both. Be sure to watch Ladyfan. So very good.

The other documentary is Echo in the Canyon. Beach Boys, CSNY, MamaPapas, Zappa, Clapton etc...all living the dream.

Ian Hunter still rocking the shades at 83 with Heartbreaker Mike Campbell playing lead guitar and some chap named Ringo pounding on the drum kit.
