Sunday night home games bring back memories, TV38, Hogan's Heroes, Bobby and the Big Bad Bruins, the long wait for puck drop and the TV battle for the rights to watch them.

What an awesome way to start my day! Never saw or met Lou (VERY sadly), but have had the great pleasure of seeing both Billy and Beck several times. Billy Bragg I once saw at the Ritz (old Studio 54), sitting next to Michael Stipe, who later played an encore with Billy and Natalie Merchant and at the H.O.R.D.E. Festival at Great Woods sometime in the late 90s, I watched Beck and Neil Young race electric trains against each other... a couple of weird sidebar memories from great shows.

Edit: this is my introduction to Courtney Barnett, but I'm going to check out more of her stuff, so thanks for that, too!

Beck and Barnett so talented.

I saw Barnett live Lee's Palace Toronto. Small venue. It was one of her first North American tours. I spoke with her after the show. Why? She's very attractive is why. :thumbu:.

Courtney autographed my merch T shirt. Requested she write"I wanna grow tomatoes on the front steps Sunflowers, bean sprouts, sweet corn and radishes." For some odd reason I find it sexy the way she sings that line/lyrics. :naughty:

What a nice song for a Sunday morning! Thanks.

At first, from a distance I thought it was a young Linda Rondstadt on stage!

She and Billy seem to have a real nice chemistry and both seemed thoroughly pleased to be on stage together. Nice.

Lou passed on October 27 2013. It was a Sunday.

Lou, Bowie, Ronno, Trevor all departed only Woody remains from the Spiders. Sunday will never be the same.

I must say, before he signed his then unprecidented deal with EMI,

released the calculatingly commercial mega hit Let's Dance (1983), and made major bank with his
"Serious Moonlight" tour, David was clever enough to fix those chompers for the American market,

It's in the way Monty uses the bench.

Randomly wound up catching that movie on TV a few months ago, I'd never seen it before, but it was really good. And I'd seen the pool episode of Community like a dozen times and never knew it was a reference to The Color of Money. Great frickin' soundtrack too.
