I liked it, but the CGI animals were distracting.
Yeah the animals were really really bad. The over head shots looked like they could have been drone footage, until you saw the dog moving with the main character.
The bear was pretty good though

A practical effect here and there would've been neat. I know it's more work and it's cheaper to just create animals and fake blood on a computer, but just a few practical effects would've gone a long way.
It takes me out of the movie when I instantly realize that those animals are CGI. Even though it's a movie about a fictional species from another planet. But at least the Predator was a real actor.

Nevertheless I liked the movie and I probably rank it a solid 4th behind the first two films and Predators.

Well......I am now writing{ I will assume till I die ] here in Boynton Beach with all the Long Islanders.....It took two weeks and a lot of heartache with the movers. Missed delivery dates and broken cabinets and dressers. Added charges, etc. No one speaking English.

During that two weeks I stayed at my daughter in laws place for 10 days in a tone-y condo in Adventura; I watched only three movies to calm my angst: Queen's Gambit, Hell or High Water or the Highwaymen. That is it. I watched Queen's Gambit 7 times all 7 episodes. Maybe 8 times

I would have loved to have the pills she and her mother were taking. Greenies.....

Unpacking is not an activity

I liked it but it was weird. Franco really did steal the movie even though he plays the same type of character in everything I think I remember seeing.
it’s weird as hell how all the vampire all know parkour and are instant contortionists and Franco immediately knows how to fight. Did they even reference why Franco was still alive?

The vampires are played by literal contortionists so that’s probably why. As for an in movie explanation, iunno they’re vampires. On the learning how to fight stuff, it’s a popcorn action comedy starring Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco. I don’t think it’s meant to hold up to analysis.

They mention in the movie it’s because he’s an Uber vamp.

There’s a behind the scenes video out there of the contortionists playing the vampires. It’s pretty wild.
