I thought HBO had the rights to dc stuff, I didn’t think they’d be able to pitch it elsewhere

HBO Max is going away on the summer.

That’s why DC has been scrapping lesser projects. I guess this project is almost done & they feel they could make money off it so they’re going to shop it around instead of shelving it like other DC projects.

These two stories sure seem to contradict each other lol

"Matt Reeves can explore whatever he wants."

"Matt Reeves Batman animated series Axed"

It’s just axed as far as being on HBO Max goes I believe. It doesn’t sound like DC is going to shelf it like they have with other projects of theirs. I guess things could always fall apart but I believe DC’s plan is to finish up that project as it’s almost done now anyway & try to shop it to another streaming service.

What's funny is that Rian Johnson is an otherwise excellent director

Brick, Looper, and Knives Out are all good to great movies. He also directed the best episode of Breaking Bad (3rd to final episode, Ozymandias, which has a perfect 10 on IMDB with 178,000+ votes). I'm looking forward to the Knives Out sequel.

Had their been a plan in place before the Trilogy got underway, he probably could have made a great Star Wars movie. Letting him freestyle it and ignore TFA was just plain old stupid.

I like that they let him do his thing, but the fact that they had NO PLAN of any kind going into the trilogy is baffling. Like, how do you f*** that up so bad? Disney let Marvel sort that shit out and they still technically are doing that. Planning it all out. People can give crap to Rian Johnson for that movie, but man, I feel that TLJ injected some fresh life into the Star Wars movie universe. Rise of Skywalker should be taken out back and shot. f***ing hated that movie.

Johnson was in some solid action movies back then. Now that he's sold his soul to Hollywood, he's the same in everything, and he's just cringey as a person.
He seems to be a solid actor and he has lots of charisma, but I don't think I've seen one good movie with him. He could be the new Schwarzenegger, but unlike Arnold all he does is crap.

I agree. His filmography is trash. I think Black Adam might turn out to be pretty good though, but we'll see.

Meanwhile, between 1982 and 1994, Schwarzenegger starred in

- Conan the Barbarian
- Conan the Destroyer
- The Terminator
- Commando
- Predator
- The Running Man
- Twins
- Total Recall
- Kindergarten Cop
- Terminator 2
- Last Action Hero
- True Lies

And a few other less notable titles.

Arnie rules.
