And so it begins...The filmmakers should just ignore the second game and write a better continuation of the story.

I can see this getting reviewe bombed by the masses because "OMG a queer kid, why am I intolerant"
Huge fan of Pedro Pascal, really like him in GOT, and then his run in Narco's made him one of my favorites. I'm usually horrified at the thought of video games (even ones I love) being turned into TV or Movies, since a lot of games are heavily derivative of successful TV shows or movies, so it's a loop. But, I had hope for this as HBO rarely fails with their truly big budget/prestige shows. HBO in the late 90's/early 2000's essentially shaped the prestige television (although you could go further back and argue Twin Peaks also contributed largely).Happy this is getting rave reviews. I really had no doubts when I heard HBO was involved, they mostly out good television out. I’m also a Pedro Pascal stan, so this is awesome
Watchmen was a bit of a dud as far as pop culture impact. Watched by plenty but seems largely forgotten and relegated to a limited series with a nebulous possibility of a second installment.Huge fan of Pedro Pascal, really like him in GOT, and then his run in Narco's made him one of my favorites. I believe the show runner didn't want to do more, and I feel most of the iconic HBO shows really built up their viewership over-time, hell The Wire wasn't properly recognized until after it finished (I discovered it between season 3 and 4, and remember the fan campaigns to keep it).Watchmen was a bit of a dud as far as pop culture impact. Halo missed its window for an adaptation at the height of its popularity, which was perfectly set up with the movie directed by Blomkamp and produced by Peter Jackson (became District 9). I think the time has passed where a good adaptation can be made.Hopefully the love for this coming from the fans (Game fan base and main stream fans) spurs a re-thinking (Re-start) of the Halo series. The show runners for that series need to be tarred and feathered. Pretty certain they used a fan fic harlequin romance novel as reference material when they were making the show.
Can't wait for Bella Ramsey to absolutely crush her role, leaving so many people with egg on their faces.
I feel like Pedro Pascal looks too much like Jeremy Renner to the point where I think some of the people watching will because they think it is.
