Nope, Xbox only. But it's zombies/post-apocalyptic and I have no interest in those type of games. I'm so fed up with the genre and only watching TWD anymore because I want to see how it ends.
well you can always hope they come out with a movie adaptation of dudebro game (Xbox's specialty) like Gears of War in the future.:D

I'm interested in seeing this but 8 seasons is way too much. Something like 4-5 seasons would provide more than enough content given the source material.

Well you're certainly Playstation only. And no, I don't really care if they make movies or tv shows from games. I've liked Halo so far after one season but the 10 million dollars per episode budget sets clear limits on how they can tell the story. They've had to more character and world building instead of action.

Both of you should skip the series and play the game. It's legitimately one of the best gaming experiences ever created.
Nah.

For anybody focused on the "zombies", in fairness TLOU does switch it up a bit and doesn't have just the single stereotypical zombie, as there's multiple variations of the infection that have different traits. TLOU2 in particular introduces some creepy variations of Infected. The games themselves are more about the storyline rather than the Infected regardless, but I can absolutely see why there'd be hesitation for those unfamiliar with the games.

As for the teaser, I'm cautiously optimistic. It's my favorite series of all time and loved them, but I'm also wildly skeptical how they'd manage the number of season that's been tossed around. Really don't want this to go down the direction of the Walking Dead.

Never played the games but will eventually. But man are people pissed that Bella doesn't look enough like Ellie. Like...who gives a shit? Young girl in a ponytail is all you really need from a looks perspective, no?

I have a desktop and it's not meant for gaming. I have no interest in playing on a PC, happy with my Series X.
Seems strange of you to jump thru all these hoops to deny yourself one of the greatest gaming experiences ever. It's a remake of a PS3 game, it'll play just fine on any desktop.

I'm just not interested in that type of games (survivor horror).
I didn't find the game that scary. I'm not a fan of survivor horror games either, but this is one of my fav video games. It's more of an action/adventure game that just happens to be during a zombie-like apocalypse.

Honestly, the game itself is probably the best video game story ever. If you can't play it, I'd find a playthrough on YouTube. It sounds silly to watch someone play the game for hours, but trust me, it's well worth it. I don't think the show will be anywhere near as good as the video game, but that's not to say the show won't still be good.

The sequel was pretty good as well, but it still pissed me off what they did.

Unless you are an xbox fanboy which this person clearly is.

Love the game, but not impressed with the remake. Handles badly, terrible aiming.

The series should be interesting.

As someone who doesn't think The Last of Us has good storytelling and sees it as just a mediocre game that you can pass on, a better comparable that you would probably be familiar with is something like Logan (I honestly would not be surprised if the latter was intentionally trying to channel it). The beats and tone are pretty similar, and it isn't really any better or worse than that, in my opinion. Make of that what you will.
