More old NHLers will be falling more quickly in the coming years. Always sad to hear.

That said, it’s picking at some of my old wounds talking about the Canadiens 70-71 and 72-73 Cup wins.

Or maybe it was because he topped out at 67 points, and JR was a superior player every single f***ing season???

I would blame dollar bill for JR and Belfour. Not Zhamnov.

I liked Zhamnov. He was a good pass 1st center. Kind of like Schmaltz. He was a 2nd line center on a Cup team but Mike Smith really liked him so that is who we got.

The team made far worse trades during that time than the JR trade.

Belfours trade was bad.
Gilmour's trade was bad
Chelios trade was bad.

Heck, even the Hackett for Thibault trade wasn't all that great either.
