It was shame fans treated Zhamnov like shit from moment he arrived all because meatheads wanted to lash out at someone for JR being traded

I would blame dollar bill for JR and Belfour. Not Zhamnov.

I liked Zhamnov. He was a good pass 1st center. Kind of like Schmaltz. He was a 2nd line center on a Cup team but Mike Smith really liked him so that is who we got.

The team made far worse trades during that time than the JR trade.

Belfours trade was bad.
Gilmour's trade was bad
Chelios trade was bad.

Heck, even the Hackett for Thibault trade wasn't all that great either.
