One indirect statement during his rookie year doesn’t erase three years of part time play. This isn’t disrespectful to Forsling, it’s just stating the obvious that he wasn’t fully ready.

Forsling is a perfect example of why it takes most Dmen a while to reach their potential. As a rookie, he looked like a guy who would pack it in and return to Europe to play an easier game.
Bowman signed Kempny, Rutta as free agents…traded Clendening for Forlsing…

Yes sure he eventually traded all of them but he should still get credit in starting their NHL paths…Panarin as well

Kempny got us a third
Rutta and a seventh got us Koekkoek and a 5th
Forsling and Forsberg got us de Haan and Saarela

Very disappointing to hear Shaw put any of the blame on Beach.

It's so easy to say 'you shoulda beat the crap outta him' when it's not you in that position up against someone you feel has some level of control over your career.

Maybe Shaw would've beat the hell out of Aldrich, knowing Shaw's crazy ass, I could see it. But there are a ton of people who would've fallen into the same fate as Beach; I could see myself as one of them in that situation.

Shaw is a moron, and he has some brutal takes in that video. A sexual assault allegation against a member of the coaching staff should have nothing to do with the coaching staff or the GM?? What?

This is also a guy who got suspended for using a homosexual slur. So, maybe just shut up about the whole situation?

Edit: Honestly, that entire f***ing podcast is total cringe. Those two idiots are more sympathetic towards Q than they are Beach. Go f*** yourselves.

Just listened to the full interview, he’s saying in a similar situation he would have handled it differently or wouldn’t have been in it to begin with. I am sure many contemplate the same scenario and think they would have handled it differently. It’s his opinion, I didn’t see any malicious victim blaming.

He wanted to play positionless hockey. Every coach at every level does. The problem is you need six intelligent mobile defenders with puck skills and twelve intelligent defensively responsible forwards that can skate.

At this level it works great if you are making up Team Canada. Practically it's just not possible.

In theory you have six Lindstrom's playing with twelve Federov's. Good f***ing luck making that work.
We’ve now gone to the other extreme where LR plays the same system as my nephews in Timbits.

It’s machismo bullshit. If Shaw was drugged it would have had no effect on him? Shaw’s an idiot.

Shaw and Chris Nilan basically having Coach Qs back…

Quennevilles’ interview with Bettman was VERY VERY short…he denied knowing anything, then admitted to it, he gave rhe scumbag Aldrich a letter of recommendation…not the team, as was incorrectly stated, Coach Q

No, he never gave any letter of recommendation at all. The report showed that nothing like that existed nor did Aldeixh use one for any of his jobs.

Victim blaming aside I wonder if this has any insight to read between the lines of how the locker room viewed the event

Shaw is honestly a piece of shit. He talks about living with Beach, talks about the guy lending him money, paying his rent, buying his groceries before he got a check. And then right after says "I don't have anything against Kyle" and proceeds to victim blame. I lost so much respect for Shaw in that podcast. f*** him.

I get it. I’m with you. I do hope it opens up conversation in the interest of understanding the locker room perspective. Clearly they didn’t understand how traumatic or malicious it was for example based on the rumor.

Not sure how you even end up in this situation as a person. Like how does Shaw put himself in this position on that podcast. Even if I TRULY believed what Shaw was saying, I wouldn’t be dumb, or unaware enough, to open my mouth about it.

These guys truly are morons
Roenick threw away a career. Guys are stupid.
