Realistically it’ll be either Nashville or Detroit. Dallas and Vegas don’t have room, and Florida does have room, but should likely focus on fixing their defense.

What Garrioch said in reports from earlier is... its believed... these teams. Not citing knowledge or sources again. All we can conclude still is his claim there is based on Freidman just listing the low tax cities + Detroit. That's only based on what other playes like Tkachuk have done.

There's no true indication we know Cat doesn't want to go to some Canadian team or east coast team either.

If that’s the case, the tweet is extremely misleading.
It literally says "are among candidates." They're just 4 of the many, many that are eligible.

I do see how the last part of the tweet can be a little misleading, though.

The players eligible for the year are voted on in June, and inducted in November.

Well I’ll delete it then if that’s the case

Didn’t watch any/much of Mogilny or Roenick but Lundqvist and Zetterberg 1000% belong in the HoF

What was Roenick like as a player in his Hawks prime? Any comparable players in today’s league?

to me it reads like, of the candidates, these are the ones being inducted.

I always thought Tuomo Ruutu was going to be our next Roenick but he was too often injured. Ruutu was as physical as J.R but he didn't have his breakaway speed or offensive skills.

Prime Roenick would be something like a lesser Ovechkin but the center version.

Crawford played too little to ever make it. He had less than 500 games. Same with Tim Thomas, but they finally lowered what was a high bar for goalies

If he played out his whole 2017/18 season i think he could've won the Vezina. He was great that year.

Sadly i don't think he makes the Hall.

Fair points, I guess. I just think it's ridiculous a clearly less talented goaltender gets in on the basis of longevity alone.

Turgeon getting in but not Mogilny is.. something. Feel like the HOF is f***ed in hockey. Only to be passed by baseball. Im a smaller hall guy though.

As a Vernon/Barrasso advocate I am happy and they made right choice there

Vernon was underappreciated easily being among best goalie in NHL for a prolonged stretch and as rookie he made immediate impact carrying Flames to finals, won a cup 3 years later and then won another cup and Conn Smythe as Red Wings

When he retired, he was 7th in wins among NHL goalies

Mogilny and Roenick not being in continues to be joke
