"for the most part, the participants reported that they only learned about the incident at a high level—that Aldrich, a coach, tried to “get under the sheets” with John Doe, a player."
"None of the participants recalled being told about the type of clearly non-consensual sexual conduct that is described by John Doe in his lawsuit or was described during John Doe’s interview with us."
"Bowman recalled a statement by McDonough, the most senior member of management in the room, that he would handle the situation."
"According to the Director of Human Resources, McDonough also informed her about the May 23 meeting in his office, during which McDonough said it was decided that the group would not alert Human Resources or do anything about the incident during the playoffs so as not to disturb team chemistry"
"On June 16, 2010, the Director of Human Resources met with Aldrich and offered him the option to undergo an investigation into what occurred with John Doe or to resign."
If I had to guess Jim Gary came into the meeting sugarcoated for all the higher ups during this insane playoff time. Nobody knew how bad it really was and thought the weird trainer was hitting on Beach. They said F that we will deal with it in a week or two when the seasons done.
-I dont know if you can completely call for Joel's career when nobody knows the real details. I think thats up to the individual team to decide. One thing I dont get is why the Human Resource director would offer and investigation and not just do one.
