The contract barely matters since they aren't up against the cap. What else would they have done with the space--take on even more contracts? Would they even have room on their roster to take on $9 mil of contracts? So you're mad at not having Sillinger who would help the Hawks win? What exactly are you even mad at when you're indirectly mad at them not having two prospects that would possibly lead to more wins over a minutes-eating player who will be around and ready to be paired with practically anyone for the next several years and is a solid player. Not to mention he has more value off the ice than any of what went to Columbus.

I would have preferred that Hawks give Dach more time to develop his game. The one thing I noticed is that Dach seems to have fit in and seems quite comfortable in a Habs uniform. He is also on the PP and if that continues he should end up with quite a few more points than 35.

Kirby Dach had another point today for the Habs.
Little do they know he does most of his scoring for the season in the first 10-15 games, then disappears for the next 40.

Also, I'm beyond surprised about Boqvist. Thought he'd really take off after scoring as many goals as he did last year.
