I saw tha on twitter without the slo mo. it was a weak shot on goal that deflected and was not a very good play by the defender. IE that was a pretty slow Toe drag. im fine he has moved on. I do wonder if at some points GM's have offers that they feel are so below market that they do not take them due to setting a precedent. especially young new GM's. lets say the offer for strome was 5th kubs 6th, and Dehaan was 5-6 with 50% retention? you do not do the dehaan deal because that would be our last retention till after the UFA period starts. I do back and forth. if you know they are gone anything is better then nothing but if you feel its so under market you do not want to get a name for yourself.

Strome played that so well. Applied physical pressure and poked the puck loose. It's too bad #59 and #42 stood around puck watching, and the goalie couldn't make a save.

Letting your guy walk out from the corner into the center of the ice with the puck on his stick is... not... played well. If he applied "physical pressure", Pasta wouldn't have just walked right out of the corner to the middle of the ice... the most dangerous place for a player like him to be. Strome played it Charmin soft, like he's regularly known to do. Especially when you consider he has 3+ inches and probably 20-25lbs on Pasta. Lol.

Watched both of the Habs first two games. Dach looks every bit the same player he settled into after his first season. Unless something changes for him that trade was likely a big win for the Hawks.
