The call is whatever...
1. that happens every play
2. he DID hold his jersey and impeded the receiver from running a route
C. low penalty count the rest of the game made this call stick out

I'm just upset that we didn't get an opportunity to see Hurts get a chance at a game tying/winning drive to cap off a true classic Super Bowl

I agree that he grabbed the jersey briefly, but I watched the replay again today at regular speed and there's zero slowdown or hitch in the receiver's movement. And the ball landed 10 yards past the receiver at the end of the play. IDK - seems like an unnecessary call under the circumstances (basically deciding the outcome). First one of the game at that point?

KC had burned them with that route I think twice, and then again afterward. It was a scheme issue that Philadelphia did not adjust to, and Mahomes helped draw the flag by throwing it there. KC won the chess match, and imo it's a good decisions to throw the flag. PHI's coaching staff should be on the hook. If he had bumped him instead of grabbing the jersey, it shouldn't have been a flag. But he could have bumped him, he wouldn't have grabbed the jersey.

Very well stated. The Chiefs and Reid went into halftime and made a bunch of adjustments. The Eagles did not, struggled and the defense particularly looked lost at times.

Amazing when a "super team" runs into a team with better coaching and comparable talent (although I would argue the Eagles still have a decent edge at WR, RB and scattered playmakers on defense), and can't come up with any answers when challenged.

It also "hurts" when you can't knock out the opponents QBs or get any fluke injuries. I like Hurts and thought he played well, especially in his first big spot. Hurts seems to be a very likeable dude.

However, Sirianni is just torture and very happy that smug clown got taken to the woodshed. He is probably on the clock over the next couple years, because he will ultimately be the fall guy for Howie, when the salary cap bill comes due, and Howie runs his typical 1-2 year tank and reset. Just like Doug Pederson (who actually won a Super Bowl) and Reid (who is a far better coach).

Sad to see Conrad Dobler 72 passed away today, just a few days after Air Coryell got elected to Hall of Fame

Loved those Cardiac Cards of the 70s

For lack of a better place to post this I thought I’d comment on the off the field actions of athletes in the major sports.

Most of you have seen Ja Morant flashing a hand gun on a recent Tik Tok video. Now we have Joe Mixon and Shawn Kemp.

Part of the appeal of hockey for me is the relatability of the players to everyday fans. While there have been a handful of bad actors in the NHL, both coaches and players, they are few and far between compared with the crap that goes on in the NFL and NBA.

Will miss Berrios. Having Z Wilson as his qb did a real job on his stats and he'll probably get a smaller contract because of it.

Joe Mixon was, imo, a scum bag long before the Bungles even drafted him after he punched some poor girl and broke bones in her face at a subway or wherever it was.

Guys like us just aren't sensitive to the fact that these young bastions are not bad people, are not bad role models, nor are they cretins or even criminals

These young fellas are just "mentally ill".

OMG Jets don't need all these receivers. I suspect Elijah Moore is going to the Packers. Will be pissed if we drop big bucks on Odell.

Part of the appeal of the jets last year was the young guys coming together as a team, especially with Mike White. The chemistry is a lot different now.

Zach Wilson has been a full blown curse. Aaron Rogers as Mike White's mentor would have been perfect.

If I knew what this sh*tshow would turn into I would have signed JimmyG or Carr.

If they were waiting on Rodgers, and that lost them Carr that was a mistake. But is that what happened?

The Lazard signing makes sense assuming that they move on from Corey Davis. Not too worried about Moore given that Wilson will play a similar role on most 1st & 2nd downs, and he's got field intelligence you can't teach. Moore could be a more important 3rd option on 2nd & long & 3rd downs, but you can't have everything. Assuming Hall comes back healthy, Wilson/Lazard/Conklin/Hall is an excellent, and varied skill group. If they end up signing someone like Randall Cobb as a slot receiver for cheap, that would actually make sense as they could use the money elsewhere. The Odell stuff makes no sense in that context, though.

Watched the whole McAfee thing, laid out the entire timeline of how his relationship with the Packers soured.

Now says that the only reason he is not a Jet is because "Packers are holding out for more compensation."
As a Jets fan I hope AR is motivated to show the Packers he isn’t finished as a player.

Sure sounded like it.

He was also adamantly upset how the media has made it seem like he has been the ringleader of the circus this week while its been the Packers asking for more.

*Note* - always consider the source though
