I can't imagine a 39 old used to being treated nicely in GB wanting to go to the Jets. No, it seems like a bad idea.

You mean one that also has weird potential mysterious retirements at the end of every season? Lol

In all seriousness, the Jets CANNOT go back to the draft for their QB answer (maybe Jake Haener in the later rounds). The list of potential veteran QB's who might be available, in no particular order:
- Rodgers
- Carr
- Lamar
- Jimmy G

The Jets’ Quinnen Williams had a great year but…

We’re not even 24 hours from the close of the season and he’s already stirring the pot saying he wants a new contract by April. He went on to say that he’ll sit out voluntary workouts if he doesn’t have a deal by then.

He’s yet another modern day athlete that just doesn’t get it.

How about this. STFU and do your negotiations in private rather than airing demands prematurely at a time when the focus of a long season shouldn’t be on you.

I'm the kind of guy that would send him to Cleveland where it's might cold in winter time

Hard to imagine a Jackson deal working out... really hard. I think the Jets would be a very attractive location for him, but the Ravens are in control of that process.

Carr or Garrapolo seem to me the most likely options. Carr seems more durable at this point. Garrapolo already knows the offense. Can't fault the Jets for going that way + spending other resources shoring up the OL.

Keep your QB's ugly and never pay a player with a low IQ the most on the team is my philosophy.

All kidding aside Williams is NOT worth the Aaron Donald contract but he would be worth the second highest paid DL I think. Do NOT go into the season with Becton as a starter. Go grab Carr and draft a QB to develop.

I’d love the see Jackson on the Jets. Same for Rodgers though don’t love the personality. I doubt either of those happen.

Are we really just left with Garropolo or Carr? They are stop gap measures for a couple of years though way better than what we’ve had for the past 2 years.

Seeing Daniel Jones, Geno Smith and Sam Darnold have varying degrees of success this year confirms to me that a solid offensive line and coaching can make up for marginal talent at the QB position. With that being said, those types of players don’t get you to the promised land.

The Jets are clearly more than a year away anyway so just get anyone not named Zach Wilson.

I'll make the case for both:

Carr Pros -
Coaches instability: Dennis Allen, Tony Sparano (RIP), Jack del Rio, John Gruden, Rich Bisaccia, Josh McDaniels,
GM instability & ineffectiveness: Reggie McKenzie, Mike Mayock
Broke boy ownership: Mark Davis
Overall Raiders dysfunction: Leaving Oakland, Gruden Emails, Henry Ruggs, Damon Arnette, horrible 1st round draft history
Yet he is still has solid passing numbers across the board and he's shown that he's a big team/win first guy.

Jimmy G Pros-
Familiarity with Saleh, the AFC East, high comp % and low T/O type guy. This is the exact opposite of Mike White and Zach Wilson. Truly the definition of what you're looking for considering the team around him.

Carr Cons -
Never taken that next step and has not shown he could be the guy that wills his team to wins/playoffs. Boring, not splashy for NYJ market starving for a QB answer. 31 year old.

Jimmy G cons -
Injury prone and has made mistakes in big playoff games. Enough to where Kyle Shanahan drafted an FCS QB with a handful of starts in the top 5 draft picks.

I'm truly okay with either at this point. They would both be an upgrade on any NYJ QB since Favre in 08 and then Vinny in 97. They're both better versions of Sanchez / Pennington in their best seasons IMO.

I reluctantly agree with your take on those two guys but that doesn’t mean I have to like them. They’re an upgrade but that’s not saying much considering where we’re at.

Your last paragraph is on target but a sad commentary on the Jets failures at QB.

Remember when the Jets went to 2 AFC title games in the early 2000s? It’s pretty ironic that the Isles’ ups and downs are not all that different.

Quinnen was amazing this season but paying him that type of money will be a bad mistake. As amazing as he was this season we haven't seen the level of dominance like Donald has had throughout the entirety of his career.

I'm down to pay him but the Jets aren't in the most amazing cap situation either.

the jets have a lot of bigger problems and its frustrating to me that this season started off so well. the biggest glare is the offensive line, and nobody questioned it. I personally don't care if you like wilson or white, you cannot live behind that offensive line and make a throw. The WR's coach was pretty bad also. They should start by trading Elijah Moore, and I would bite that bullet. Quinnen will get a payday, but they have to act fast, because Lawrence and Simmons are getting pay days to set the market.

So this offseason is much the same as the jets still have to wait on who's the QB, who our WR's are, and if Breece Hall is actually able to run like he did before his ACL tore. This was the year for a playoff run.

The Jets season ended when AVT and Hall went out against the Broncos. They were 5-2 once that happened. While this season may have been frustrating they were never going to make a serious playoff run with the likes of Mike White, Joe Flacco, or Zack Wilson at the helm.

Elijah Moore has shown to be a number three at best and honestly they just need a QB on offense along with cutting Corey Davis and grabbing another WR.

Dear Tom,

You retired, then got me fired, left your family like you did your first one and here we sit. I've been married for more years than you've been alive. You're the GOAT, a lonely old goat.

All The Best,

B.A.

BS personal foul on Mahomes to get Chiefs in field goal range.

Just like refs swallow the whistle at the end of a playoff hockey game, same goes here.

I am fine with the Mahomes play, because it was late, unnecessary and the Bengals defender needs to be smarter.

But on the punt return, they missed a clear block in the back. Take away the return and add on the penalty and the Chiefs would have been backed up and probably played for OT.

And I agree that the refs were terrible in both games, to the point that you can say the fix was in.

Not sure if it is true, but supposedly 72% of the moneyline action was on the Bengals. If so, the bookies win big... again.

Seems like every call went against Cincy although that last play was kinda obvious.Mahomes was clearly out of bounds. I have Chiefs to win SB at plus 260. Also had the Joker in Aussie Open. I had Chiefs money line and the over.

Credit to Ossai for standing tall and answering questions after the game in locker room. It was a bonehead play but he showed great class in handling himself after the game

Philly -2.5/ total 50 on Bovada
