Wilson is NOT done. Hang this loss on the coaching staff and special teams. You can NOT leave timeouts unused and run out of time. They were given a gift to get that 1 second left stoppage. Time outs Managed properly they get at least two more plays off and possibly more. How about spiking the ball Once?

Detroit is a tough team and played well.

Zach Wilson gets a C grade there for one really bad pick but he was often under duress and played much better.

The Jets special teams failed them today
The Jets running game failed them
The defense failed them in the final two minutes so you cannot hang this all on the QB.

Jets cannot get a ground game going when the opposing defense stacks the box. No defense is going to be afraid of ZW throwing the ball, he can only generate positive plays when out of the pocket.

He's not an NFL QB, he's done. He has to make some throws in the pocket.

Special teams, defense and time management aside, they were STILL in a position to win the game despite their QB only completing 51% of his passes.

The Jets in 2020 were 0-13 before winning 2 of their last 3 games. You know where I’m going with this.

Although he’s been slow to develop, Trevor Lawrence was felt to be a franchise quarterback for the 2 years prior to his draft. The Jets got Zach Wilson instead of Lawrence because they won those 2 games.

If you suck then tank. That goes double when there’s a projected stud at the top of the draft.

Zack cannot make the simplest of passes and has resorted to making hail mary throws into triple coverage hoping a receiver will catch it since they are severely under thrown.

I recently moved out of NY and I don’t get the Jets games on TV. Anyone know how to watch. For once the Jets are actually worth watching this late in the season.

Seachickens in the same boat as the jets, on the outside, lookin in, fighting for playoff lives. Seasquawks at home. MW with busted ribs, paper mache OL. It ain’t gonna be pretty. New year, can’t wash off the same ol jets stank.

A missed opportunity to take a trip to Seattle to see the Jets at four and the Islanders at 8 o’clock. But after this start by the Jets it’s probably a good thing….
Plus think off all the money you saved!

Speaking of which, I dropped 2 and a half bills including tip at Valentino's in Surfside on Christmas Eve

Told ya

Never heard of it. How is it? Ciao in Myrtle Beach is my favorite Italian place here.
It's really good. We go there every time we come down. Benjamin's bakery and Cafe is an awesome coffee shop in Surfside. We ate buffet at the original Benjamin's in North Myrtle
the first night we were in. 50 a head but probably worth it. Had sushi at Ichiban in Conway on Christmas Day before heading home

To stay on topic, we like to eat like football players😇

Derek Carr will be unemployed soon!

Ugh. I believe it is more of a coaching issue this year as McDaniel is a bum, however, Carr's failures with Jacobs, Adams, etc. is very concerning.

I know Waller and Renfrow being hurt was an issue, but Carr is not a guy I could see producing in NY.

If the Jets want a one-year stopgap, I would go with Tannehill. I think he has just enough juice left for a season or two while they figure out the long-term answer.

Should have just enough arm and mobility to be adequate.

Jets had an enormous amount of luck in the first half of the season. They avoided playing DeShaun Watson, Tua, Russel Wilson, Justin Fields. Considering Mitch T started the Steeler game, I think they only beat two or three starting QBs this year.

I missed the game yesterday, did Mike White get the usual poor pass protection? I still see him as the future of this team.

Tannehill>Carr but they both don’t move the needle for me.

The feel good story of Mike White has played itself out.

In retrospect, the Hall injury was a killer. Carter was a good story last year and Knight looked good for a moment but Hall was looking like the star RB we haven’t had since Curtis Martin and Freeman McNeil. I hope he comes back from the ACL but expecting much from him next year is a tall order.

I’m in agreement but it’s still been a very good year all things considered.

Btw you forgot the Cleveland game. That should’ve been a loss.

At the beginning of this year everyone signs up for how this season goes. Sucks Wilson is not the guy but it is what it is. Saleh will need to make the playoffs next year if Woody is going to keep him. Hate to be that guy but he will need to do that in NY with the talent this team has and a vet QB.

I don't hate Lafleur as much as most do but it is clear that they should grab a vet on this coaching staff. Douglas also needs to go get a different punter.

Expectations change throughout the season. Can’t end the year the way they did, everything fell apart. Woody should use the J&J money on Payton.

Realistically to me once Hall and AVT went out things were going to go downhill. They were 5-2 with them and the season went into a tailspin without their top two offensive players.
