France are looking very strong. And I think Argentina will use their upset to propel them all the way to the finals.

This is the football thread right? ;)

Good point.

As a Jets fan I was previously encouraged by the very favorable reviews given to Wilson by a number of players and ex players, Aaron Rodgers and Boomer to name 2. They may want a do over.

Future pro days should have defenders running at the quarterbacks. Sam Darnold and Zach are really great when no one is running at them, but that doesn't mean s***.

Zach Wilson can't see the field when he's on it

Yowch.

Jets are making a really good argument for spending premium draft picks on receivers instead of QBs.

The difference between Z. Wilson, and White was that White pointed his lead toe whereever he wanted to throw the ball, and the ball followed. I don't necessarily think that the Jets have found their QB, but White is defintely better than Wilson right now for that reason alone. If G. Wilson is going to get *that* wide open, you gotta hit him.

Random thought on a football Sunday:

Hiring Jeff Saturday to be an NFL head coach is like hiring Garth Snow to be your GM.

Why would anyone think that’s a good idea?

I had a friend one time named TC. He worked in Walmart and caught me looking at something that seemed like a good purchase. He raps me on the back of the noggin and points to the cheaper version of what I was looking at.

He tells me that not only is it cheaper but it's better.

Being the dope that I am I say "so why would anyone ever buy this other thing T" ?

As loud as he can in the middle of the store he bellows

"BECAUSE THEY'RE F**KING STUPID"

Games don't get any more heartbreaking than that. That Breece Hall injury cost at least two games.

The Jets may have lost the battle but they are going to win the war. They've got a quarterback now.

Some questionable play calling for me there. Really need to punch in some touchdowns. I felt like some sort of play action and getting White to move had to show up somewhere.

Really like the heart of this Jets team, and they seem to really like each other. Mike White is at least not a complete negative like Zach Wilson, but they likely still need to solve this issue.

White looks decent, no doubt, but still a big question mark. I’m not quite ready to give up on Zach but I have to admit he just might be a bust.

Knight is a pleasant surprise at RB but as you said, the loss of Hall was a huge blow. That kid had star written all over him.

Garrett Wilson has been great. Corey Davis had a timely catch but was a big p***y on the White TD QB sneak. Watch the replay and all he needed to do was to get in the scrum and push the pile to get him over the goal line. Instead he just stood there. Lucky they overturned the initial no TD call.

It is great to see some heart on this team but that game was winnable and they could not get that elusive TD.

If only White was more mobile. Oh well. At least we are competitive with hints of better times ahead.

Why does LaFleur force feed Berrios in the red zone??
As a general overarching proposition, shouldn't a guy like Berrios be known for 1. His good decision making and 2. His sticky hands?

He totally fvcked up that screen and needed to squeeze that ball in the end zone. I can't necessarily blame MLF as they could have totally worked but I'll definitely be second-guessing him next time. Guys like Berrios don't get too many chances in crunch time. After yesterday's debacle, you can't afford to feature him again. Those balls need to be going to E. Moore.
