Los Alamitos (California):
- Michael Maker: Enormous news for winter racing in Maryland as Michael Maker will open a stable with 15 stalls. He is mostly Midwest based but has horses from Texas to Florida to New York. Maker is 79 17-7-10 at Laurel and Pimlico. Look for his horses on turf for the most part.
- Steve Asmussen is 97 wins away from 10,000.
- Handle: $6.1 million.
- Race 1: Attached (Jairo Rendon/Jorge Duarte) was out for the first time and obliterated the field at 14-to-1. It was the trainer's 100th win. The jockey rode at a NYRA track for a rare time.
- Race 8: Kimari (Joel Rosario/Wesley Ward) overtook Lady Rocket (Irad Ortiz, Jr./Brad Cox) to win the Grade 2 $250,000 Gallant Bloom Stakes. Kimari received a 106 Beyer following the win.

- Leading Jockey: Jeiron Barbosa, at the age of 18, got his second riding title this year. He could be the leading contender for Apprentice of the Year.
- Leading Trainers: Dale Capuano, Jamie Ness, John Robb, and Mario Serey Jr. finished in a tie with four wins apiece. Capuano won or shared 18 meet titles at Pimlico between 1988 and 2010, the last time he was leading trainer. Ness led Pimlico for the fourth time and first since 2019. Robb had won four Maryland titles but just one at Pimlico. Serey won a title in Maryland for the first time.
- Race 10: Hoosier Philly (Edgar Morales/Tom Amoss) was purchased for $510,000 and did not disappoint in her maiden effort. The 2-year-old daughter to Into Mischief could be awaiting bigger things.
Remington Park (Oklahoma):- Card: Twelve races, eight stakes which included four at $100,000 or more highlighted by the state's signature race the $400,000 Oklahoma Derby.
- Handle: Approximately $4 million. Unofficially, it is the second largest handle in track history.
- C.R. Trout sent out three horses and each returned victorious.
- Karl Broberg, the second most wins among all trainers in North America this year, also had a 3-win day.
- Race 11: Rattle N Roll (Brian Hernandez, Jr./Kenny McPeek) has now earned over $998,000 after a win in the Grade 3 $400,000 Oklahoma Derby. The Connect colt circled the field to win by more than a length. Rattle N Roll entered off a win in the St. Louis Derby at FanDuel (IL). Rattle N Roll was on the Kentucky Derby trail this year but fell one point behind eventual winner Rich Strike, who drew in due to the defection of Un Ojo, on the also eligible list.
- Race 9: Hits Pricey Legacy (Jose Alvarez/C.R. Trout) took a big step up in class but at 11-to-1 defeated Juju's Map (Florent Geroux/Brad Cox), among others and who was a 1-to-2 morning line, to win $200,000 Grade 3 Remington Park Oaks.
Los Alamitos (California):
- Closing Day: Today ended the brief meet. Southern Cal racing will be held at Santa Anita September 30 through November 6. Then onto Del Mar beginning November 4.
- Leading Jockey: Ramon Vazquez won the title with 13 wins which was more than doubled his closest pursuer. Vazquez returned to California from the East coast and won his second riding title this year.
- Ramon Vazquez finished a historic day going 7 5-0-2. Since Los Al began daytime racing in 2014, no jockey had ever won five races on a single card. He won four straight mounts covering six races.
- Leading Trainer: Bob Baffert and Peter Miller shared the crown with five wins apiece. It was the sixth time Miller and the 13th time Baffert either led or shared the training title since daytime Thoroughbred racing returned to Los Alamitos in 2014.
- Race 8: Lucky Score (Leo Salles/Vito Armata) pulled a mild shocker to win the $150,000 Grade 3 Vigil Stakes.
